Wiimote mayflash bar and Xpadder?

Hi Guys,

I recently have purchased the mayflash wii bar,

This is conflicting with Xpadder to create problems in my setup,

The mayflash bar registers the wiimotes as controllers within windows,

This means they show up automatically in Xpadder,

This causes issues with games that I play with the xbox 360 controllers,

It registers a left control all the time and basically makes the controllers not work,

The way my setup is configured I need to have the "automatically detect new controllers" setting in Xpadder on so it will detect the 360 controllers when they turn on,

So even if I remove the controllers from the Xpadder program, as soon as i plug the bar in again the controls re connect,

Does anyone know a solution to this?

Preferably still using Xpadder as I have set up the whole system around it?

Thanks,

Pj

I ran into a similiar problem when hooking up my Wii U - Gamecube adapter to my PC. Xpadder went haywire doing the same thing basically. I finally just decided to dedicate some of the rear USB ports to the adapter. That way once it was setup, I never had to unplug it.

There may be another solution, but my recomendation is to just keep the bar plugged into a rear port. ( USB Hubs / Extension Cables could help here if you are short on ports or cord length )

Thank you for the reply,

I think you misunderstand my problem,

I want the controls to never be detected by Xpadder, as they are causing issues,

But with the detect new controllers set to on, they always show up,

I want a way for Xpadder to ignore them, or for them to stop affecting the xbox controllers when they are detected,

Its a controller so the controls will be found by Xpadder... thats what its for.

So now you have to configure your Xpadder.  If you dont want xpadder to be used for the Wii systems etc then use either blank profiles for these systems or turn Xpadder off for them.

If you do want to use Xpadder for other systems, then configure the controls for the controllers your using again so that it knows what controllers are what and which ones you want to use for that system.

Also, DolphinBar does not work with the startup script, you most prob aint using it as you have Xpadder... but if you do... it will have issues.  I hope this helps?

Thanks for the reply Simply Austin,

I need to use Xpadder in my current setup so I am trying to find a workaround,

I am currently using the default blank profile but the Wiimotes are acting strangely, affecting the use of other connected controllers,

Do you know which base settings I have to change to get them to not affect other controllers or send random commands?

Also I am a bit unsure about what you mean about the dolphinbar not working with the startup script?

or me not using it because I have Xpadder?

Oh and by the way your tutorials are awesome

Well, I have a dolphin bar for playing Wii games.  I have Pinnacle Game Profiler for all my PC Games and one hyperspin navigation profile for my main controller.  I have antimicro for my HS navigation autoprofiles on all other controllers (NES, PS1, GameCube).  Xpadder for me only has one profile on it so far, and that is a second player profile for the game Crawl.  I know it's a lot, but it seems like separating duties across a few keymappers is an ok way to go.  Works for me just fine.

Thanks for the reply,

So I have found out that it is not Xpadder causing the problem,

If the mayflash bar is in mode 4 (Real Wiimotes) then the Xbox Controllers will not work,

if the Mayflash bar is in any other mode then the controllers work fine,

Does anyone else have a Mayflash bar and Xbox Controller working together ok?

Thanks for the replies,

Giga Pig that thread did highlight some of the problems i was having, But no Sure solution,

One ray of light is that the 360 controllers do work fine when the Mayflash bar is in any mode other than 4,

I think for now I am just going to have swap between mode 4 and one when i want to play the Wii,

its a bit annoying but it will do until there is another solution,

Anyone hear anything about getting them to work flawlessly together please give me a shout!

Thanks for the Help Guys.

I've got mine working by using a script to disable the dolphinbar on startup of HS, and then to only enable it for Dolphin via the module, immediately disabling it after dolphin closes. You can take a look at my folder on the FTP for the scripts.

Mine are wireless and they have never caused this problem. I'm not using xpadder for Hyperspin at all at least to control it. May not be linked to xpadder anyway.

Yep, the problem is not linked to Xpadder the controllers still have issues without it running.

Joe C3, Thanks for the scripts, I will Check them out.

Can you flash it again to make sure? Version 4 is the latest.

The Dbar comes with a mini cd does it? Which contains a W10.exe, is that needed at all? can't remember TBH.
