SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Whilst my internet was off decided to start on another project I was putting off. I have been swatting up on the Pi as much as possible and was looking at some of the more adventurous possibilities. I have then been trying my hardest to get them all to work together with a natural flow. In essence I have managed to get: Retro Games PC Games (Streamed from your main PC controlled with controller in 1080p no lag) Hyperspin streamed to any room in house Movie streams Music Streams Any channel Your movie and media collection All working with a Xbox360 controller. no need for KB and theres even an option to do this with Keys, cab or most other controllers you can think of. Just a case of swapping some configs. I will also be going one stage further for mine and actually imbedding it into a SEGA MEGADRIVE. The insides, themes for everything, boot screens and links will all be modded to go with not only the MEGA CADE theme, but with most other retro consoles too. Best thing is the only real cost is for the Rapberry Pi2... around 30 bucks games, it will be running is SNES NES GB GBA MD MS PS1 SCD AMIGA C64 SPECTRUM ATARI SYSTEMS SATURN DC MAME NEO GEO etc etc etc... As always this is free, I have nothing hidden or anything like that... just watch and do, in no time have one for yourself! Watch the vid, that explains more... Simply Austin's YouTube
ninja2bceen Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 What do you mean stream hyperspin to any part of the house? How do you do that? SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Through the Pi. I can make it so that you can play your Hyperspin over a network. All controlled through a control pad (as long is it was configured on main setup). The only requirement is that you have Wifi and a Geforce GPU on your Hyperspin or main PC Simply Austin's YouTube

Can't wait to watch the video, I have set up a Pi 2 with most of those systems and real SNES controllers. I actually got this for it also just because I didn't want to have a huge keyboard and mouse with a tiny Pi 2. Makes transporting that much easier. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KF9IVKC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Yeah I want mine to be very compact and controlled completely through the controller. Its took me a while to get that nailed down as some programs dont play to easy with controllers straight off the bat. I think this now does more than my over powered PC haha Simply Austin's YouTube

defec Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 What a cool setup. Thanks for creating the howto video/links. Is it easy to enable scanlines on some of the classic emulators with a Raspberry Pi 2? I'm looking forward to part3.

Just load a game, press select and X on the pad and you can change to any shader, overlay etc like you can on the normal RA. I will be covering tweaks like this as we go along with the vids... However, For now here is PART 3 - get your MEGACADE to show ANY MOVIE or TV SHOW ever made Simply Austin's YouTube
