The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

  1. Sounds like yours aren't mixed then. I followed Austins setup guide so mine were a bit mixed together. For example in the media folder in my Hyperspin root folder I had the hyperspin media folders (Mame, AAE, Main Menu etc...), but I also had the Hyperlaunch media folders (Bezels, Fade etc...). Not sure how mixed the other ones were, but I didn't think it was worth the trouble of using the upgrade tool then spending hours figuring out what broke. That may not have happened, but I didn't want to risk the aggravation.
  2. My HyperLaunch folder was within my Hyperspin folder too. But my media, module, settings and maybe some other folders were mixed together so I chose to do a fresh install rather than separate everything apart before running the upgrade tool. Now My HyperSpin and RocketLauncher folders are completely separate like they should be (not one within the other). This took me much longer to do, but a nice benefit is that I moved them off my C: drive, so Hyperspin is completely set up on it's own H: drive and portable/backup-able. It also helped me clean up some things and fix a bunch of settings. Ninja do you have separate media folders, one for HyperSpin and another for HyperLaunchHQ or are they mixed into one?
  3. Wanted to say the tutorial is great, well written and easy to follow. Instead of running the transition tool and upgrading I decided to follow this guide and build it back up from scratch. It took about 5+ hours, but I got everything updated to HS 1.4 and RocketLauncher with no issues and all my systems/wheels/media/settings/custom modules back up and running better than ever. Thanks Ghutch... now I just need your help with a script... HA!

  8. When you updated did you have many things break that then had to be fixed? Especially your PC game/Taito wheels? (why do you run 2 PC wheels anyway?) I think I'm going to wait until 1.4 is solid and an actual stable release then upgrade both it and RL.
  9. I'm wondering myself. Especially with the posts I've seen about upgrading and their PC games quit working. On the other hand maybe I should deal with it now before I re-add Daphne, Taito, SNES etc...
  10. So my artwork arrived yesterday in a big, heavy, well-packed tube. Big pieces, about 74 x 40 inches. From all the positive feedback in this thread I was already expecting it to look good, but I really wasn't expecting it to actually look this damn good. It's hard to tell in the pics, but the color is incredibly vibrant, the blacks are deep perfect black and the details are pixel perfect. The material has a high quality feel to it and a very glossy sheen. I also have a lot of small detailed pictures on here and all came out perfect to the tiny detail. No flaws, no blurriness, no color bleeding. The monster heads in that Primal Rage art I zoom in on during the video are only 1/4 to 1/2 inch across. It also printed exactly to the size my artwork was measured to and good thing since I only left myself about 1/4" extra overhang on some of the art. (My work was done at 300dpi, RGB PSD file if anyone is curious) Thanks Brad, fantastic work. I am so happy I decided to go with you for this. For anyone else wondering where to get their art done, don't even think about it. This is the guy.
  11. Oh I saw all the others and they look great. It was pics to your own build in the first post and the other link to even more pics that don't work anymore. I just wanted to see more. I'll email you in a bit. Thanks!
  12. If you're still around and still offer printing services can you re-post some example pics? Your links are now dead since they moved the site. Thanks.
  13. Yes, I agree it is confusing. Your best bet is probably to follow Austins videos. They are up to date and they do a good job of walking you through it.
