Awesome game. Made this theme for it back when it came out and just never uploaded it. Here you go. Pretty simple. coins fall into the coin pile on the right (dropping coins is the main gameplay mechanic in the game.) everything hovers. Widescreen 16x9 Screenshot is a shot of it running on my cab.

16x9 theme for Doom 2. I made this specifically for adding Brutal Doom/Project Brutality to my wheel but should work for any version. Demon comes in from the left and a moment later the marine pops up to shoot him in the jimmy while explosions go off!

Main Menu theme for The Pinball Arcade 16x9 Widescreen The backgopund is a shot from the Twilight Zone table which hovers vertically. MAME and individual system databases with the genres named to match the included media. These XMLs and Media were re-named to work and display properly in both the HyperSpin genre wheel and on the RocketLauncher Fade screen. (For example: Sports/Baseball renamed to Sports-Baseball in the XML) Also includes the matching media for HyperSpin genre\Backgrounds, HyperSpin genre\Wheel and RocketLauncher fade\_default\genre Why? Because the standard genre naming convention in MAME doesn't work well with RocketLauncher Fade. The RL devs will be fixing this in a future update, but for now this works. More info at these links: http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?2094-RocketLauncher-can-t-read-MAME-genres-for-media http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/12545-unofficial-mame-0167-xml/ Make sure you back up your own XMLs and media first. Personally I use the Backgrounds and the Unframed Genre Wheels as my Hyperspin media (media\system\images\genre\backgrounds & wheel). I use the Framed Genre Wheels as my RocketLauncher Fade screen media (RocketLauncher\media\fade\_default\genre) as I think the uniform frames look better on the Fade screen. -MAME and the System Classics (Atari, Capcom, Cave, Data east, Irem, Konami, Midway/Bally, Namco, Nintendo, Taito, Williams) are built from the .167 MAME XML (with no casino, no mahjong). -AAE, Model 2, Model 3 are built from their up-to-date official XMLs. -Daphne is built from its official up-to-date XML, but also includes Ninja Hayate and Time Gal. -Atomiswave and Naomi are built for the newest release of DeMul. -SNK Neo Geo is both the official Neo-Geo xml, combined with SNK Classics. If you notice anything that needs to be fixed please let me know.
  15. Sure, but this thread is for the old version. You should be using the latest versions and tutorials/instructions: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2187-how-to-install-hyperspin/ http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/10973-hyperspin-version-14-released-for-all/
  16. If you're doing a fresh install, then why would you want to skip steps? That makes no sense to me. Why wouldn't you want to do it all and do it right the first time? EDIT: Ah, unless you mean you're using an install that is already partially completed for you?
  17. I recommend this to be stickied to help people out.
  18. Yes he does cab art, details are in the other topic just like this but for cabinets instead. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/507-decals-and-printing-for-your-hyperspin-cabinet/page-1 He did mine. Awesome quality.
  19. Thanks for the pointer. It's much better than the others.
  20. Ah, that makes sense. He didn't say anything about MESS so it didn't occur to me that that's what he meant.
  21. So far as I know MAME won't emulate NES games, you'd need an NES emulator for that. MAME is for emulating arcade games. I'm not sure what the best NES emulator to set up would be, I deleted all my NES stuff/roms over a week ago and can't even remember what I was running for it. A good place to start would be to make an NES system in RocketLauncher and then look to see what emulator modules it likes. You'll also want a roms folder for each system type so they don't get mixed together. For example MAME/roms, NES/roms, Daphne/roms etc... I keep my roms folders in their respective emulator folder. Like: Hyperspin/emulators/MAME/roms, Hyperspin/emulators/Daphne/roms etc...
  22. Rom for what? Which emulator and system are you setting up? You have your ROM folder in your Hyperspin root?
  23. Sounds like yours aren't mixed then. I followed Austins setup guide so mine were a bit mixed together. For example in the media folder in my Hyperspin root folder I had the hyperspin media folders (Mame, AAE, Main Menu etc...), but I also had the Hyperlaunch media folders (Bezels, Fade etc...). Not sure how mixed the other ones were, but I didn't think it was worth the trouble of using the upgrade tool then spending hours figuring out what broke. That may not have happened, but I didn't want to risk the aggravation.
  24. My HyperLaunch folder was within my Hyperspin folder too. But my media, module, settings and maybe some other folders were mixed together so I chose to do a fresh install rather than separate everything apart before running the upgrade tool. Now My HyperSpin and RocketLauncher folders are completely separate like they should be (not one within the other). This took me much longer to do, but a nice benefit is that I moved them off my C: drive, so Hyperspin is completely set up on it's own H: drive and portable/backup-able. It also helped me clean up some things and fix a bunch of settings. Ninja do you have separate media folders, one for HyperSpin and another for HyperLaunchHQ or are they mixed into one?
  25. Wanted to say the tutorial is great, well written and easy to follow. Instead of running the transition tool and upgrading I decided to follow this guide and build it back up from scratch. It took about 5+ hours, but I got everything updated to HS 1.4 and RocketLauncher with no issues and all my systems/wheels/media/settings/custom modules back up and running better than ever. Thanks Ghutch... now I just need your help with a script... HA!
