5thWolf Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 For those of you whom love the GameCube & Wii emulator that don't know already, DOLPHIN 5.0 is released!!!!!! Snatch it here ( VGEMU.COM ) if your looking for it. ~5thWolf~
rastan Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 64-bit CPUs and Operating Systems are required. Windows XP is no longer supported. Windows Vista is no longer officially supported. Direct3D10/OpenGL3 Required. This means AMD Radeon 4xxx, NVIDIA GeForce 8xxx, or Intel HD 2xxx minimum! Anything older than that will most likely not work or will have significant glitches. Just tested it.. and noticed a speed up! without even setting the frameskip... I put the frameskip to 2 and it seemed like it was speeding. they say they dumped the 32bit and made 64bit only so I guess that really helped. Does anyone have game wheels for Wii?
gigapig Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Thanks wolfie I was waiting for this, might be good to keep the old versions just in case. Need to add it to the build in the downloads section. It's working fine with Rocketlauncher is it? Rastan, yes I have Wii and Wii Ware wheels.
alcoatjez Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Thanks for the news, but why not get it from the official website? I was just working on my Nintendo GameCube set, so for me this release has perfect timing! They created a pretty cool video of the new features:
majorspawn Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 make sure you use win 10 as it has direct x 12 which significantly increases performance My Arcade Projects: SNES PC Project Vewlix Cabinet LS-30 Rotary Joysticks
hypermame55 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Video looked awesome! Does anyone know if 5.0 has multiple mice compatibility?
rastan Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I'm using it on win7 no problems that I noticed.. also I noticed that when you set the frameskip it stays there so you don't have to manually change it every time you start the emulator... i guess people with beefy enough systems don't have to worry about that but my current dedicated hyperspin system is only a i3 so even tho it seemed playable more than before without setting the frameskip... i think setting it to "2" seems to feel ok for me. I also have a actually Wii so the only game I'm playing with Dolphin is the new super mario brothers... I doubt I'll have a full Wii wheel since I deleted a bunch of wii games... i used to have like 300+ on a HDD.. i chopped that down to about maybe 20-something if that... I still have tons of VC and WW stuff on a USB thumb drive on my actual Wii.

damageinc86 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I ran it and it worked great for a few hours,...played some other games,...went to the store,...came back to try a wii game again, and BAM black screen and frozen. Have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE it. Gamecube games still load up though. Weirdness.
