pinumbernumber Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I just updated this again with support for holding down the key, you might want to grab it again: http://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/1goval/any_way_to_map_the_middle_xbox_360_button/camujj7 (It doesn't do it by default, you need to edit the hold_player1/2/3/4 options in the INI) I also fixed the INI's line endings so you can use Notepad to edit it now. Pyramid_Head Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Even though I have the button mapped to + (to bring up Hyper Pause) it seems to not bring it up anymore though the button sends + to everything else like Notepad etc.. Anyone else experiencing this?

zerojay Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 This isn't a DJ thing. This is an issue with what the program is sending to Hyperspin. Instead of it sending the key we pressed, it's sending the character. If you set HyperPause to work on the regular + key, it would probably work. I've alerted the guy who wrote the source.

zerojay Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Yes, I'm using 107 which previously worked and now isn't for some reason. Yes, the key mapping can change, the Numpad + is the default.
Pyramid_Head Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I was using 107 as well and it's not working either. It worked before one of the last HL updates I do know that. I'm guessing it's something to do with that. Besides that it works fine in Notepad etc..

Maybe HL uses some method of picking up key presses that isn't triggered by Windows' SendInput function. Can you try using a key other than +?

Meanwhile I advise everybody to just use the normal guide button press until I have time to check if this is the problem that it is happening or not. When asking for help for RocketLauncher, POST ON THE RLAUNCHER.NET FORUMS! Also, please post your RocketLauncher.log with logging level set to troubleshooting in pastebin (set the log level in RocketLauncherUI, global system > General Settings -> RocketLauncher). Ass. Pyramid_Head Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I decided to give Motioninjoy a go again using my PS3 DS3 pad and I noticed you can map the PS button to a keyboard key so I mapped it to numpad+ and it loaded HP right up! I'm not sure what happened with this in the latest HL updates.

It no longer includes source because I rewrote it in an attempt to made it cleaner, but actually turned it into a gruesome unmaintainable mess of which I am ashamed https://app.box.com/s/6yq4d0sig0xm4e5i35xq Also it looks like people are still grabbing the attached v2- any chance it could just be deleted?

rpdmatt Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Anyone else getting a crash when they try to run this on Windows 8? It just says Error loading Xinput DLL and then button_on_guide2.exe has stopped working. Tried version 2, 5 and 6.
