I downloaded and istalled rocket launcher into its own folder offain C

Rocket launcher will not open because it needs netframe4.0. I am trying to install it but first i had to find and download a 32bit version of wndows installer. So i downladed that. Now im getting

LOL, oh man. The fun is just beginning! Around every corner lies these kind of bumps. HyperSpin is not a quick setup. It's a lot easier these days with help of tutorials and video guides but still very hard. Don't give up the goose already. There are many nice people in these forums that will aid you in your quest. Just remember, whatever roadblock you hit along the way, someone else has hit too. And it can be solved! Have patience as you are usually only 1 small step away from success.

That error code my friend is a .Net 4.0 error.

I would go to "add/remove" programs and uninstall any .net programs if there are any in there.

Then I would make sure you have all "critical updates" from Windows Update

Then I would go HERE for the standalone installer (is for both 32 and 64bit) for .net

Let me know if this helps.

A quick google search came up with this possible solution to that error: download the standalone installer.

Here's a link to the microsoft site where you can download it.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718

Hope that helps to solve your issue.

Damn, beat me to the punch! I take way to long to type stuff. LOL

I think his install may have crapped out because of a prerequisite for "windows installer 3.1"... which he may not have if he hasn't been keeping up on his updates.

Try the installer joker, if it doesn't go, it's because the missing "critical updates".

Well I so far I made it to step nine. The standalone installer did fix the error code.

Now I'm I'm trying to download the media pack but it keeps going to mega and it won't download. I can click on it and it goes to pop up asking to choose fast or slow but it won't download

Well its mot wirking for me. And yea dl'd there app but it still wont download. It just keeps ssking me to download thier app.

This is something you should take up with the guys at the RocketLauncher site as it's not anything to do with HyperSpin.

To help you out however I will put the file in a dropbox and pm you once uploaded.

Thank you again i have it saved to disk now.

Is there a jukebox add on you can reccomend

Also when i go to add the emulators to the emulator folder, do i have to put the whole emu and its files and roms in the folder or can i paste shortcuts in there?

Someone else will need to recommend a jukebox, I would just use Kodi for things like that.

Roms and Emulators can go anywhere you like but you will need to point to them. Adding them to the emulators folder just makes it easy so you don't need to add the path in RLUI, but I think whatever you put in the emulator folder would need to be named correctly for it to be detected.

Glad the forums back!!!!!!

I've got hyperspin and Rocketlauncher installed and working but I'm having trouble loading emulators and their rom paths. I've been looking at tutorials and watching videos but the rocketlauncher apps in the vids and tutorials look different that what I have. So I don't have the same options. The version I have is the latest on Windows XP.

Here's what's going on. When you pick globals for your emulators and load an emu that way the rom path window and options never open to allow me to add a rom path for that emulator.

If I pick say nes in the left window and configure it to RL I can enter a rom path. But say next I pick SNES from the list in the left video after loading NES then add a rom path it adds the path to the window for NES.

Do you mean choose one one of the system in the left window that's not the globals?

And what about the UI adding all the rom paths to he same window? Is that normal?

I tried to run hyperspin after adding the emu and rom paths but when I choose the system the whole game list comes up instead of the games I actually have. If I choose a game I know I have it just gives me an error not found

Yes, the tabs on top are repeated for every system on the left. Entering a rompath under NES will not put it in SNES or anywhere else... you must have put something under Global.

Don't even think about trying anything in HS until you can audit and play games through RL first!

Once game are running fine in RL, open up HyperHQ and under "navigation/themes" select "roms only" as a wheel filter. This will only show what you have.

He knows to add the ROM path and extension does he, otherwise he'll have more problems.
