I had the standard nes30 bluetooth version and it felt okay but I returned it.

it worked with my phone just fine but I had issues on my computer. A ps4 or 360 controller is a much better alternative in my opinion.

I was just about to post a mini review on this actually but ran a search first. I picked one up last week off ebay. Well it arrived last week, took a couple weeks to get here. I love it so damn much! I can't speak for running it for Hyperspin but in the future it would be worthwhile with Hyperspin Android. As they are so tiny and by 2020 we should have teeny tiny 4tb ssds and enough grunt to run dolphin at 60fps so I could imagine having a system the size of an intel NUC and the two controllers to take anywhere I wanted.

I actually ended up in hospital and was there for a few days (i'm on the mend now and back at home) and got someone to bring it in along with a galaxy tab 3. Downloaded a few roms and emulators and it worked pretty good but with some diagonal issues with the dpad. I eventually started using the analog stick which fixed it. I love the fact that it's the design of a 8 bit with the shape of a 16 bit and the controls of a 32 bit. I personally recommend the logitech f710s as they have dinput/xinput modes with the layout of a sony dual shock but good old ABXY buttons instead of shapes my brain doesn't process.

The nes30 pro supports xinput as well, hold R1 when power on. Either mode works fine in hyperspin. The controller is great, feels retro yet has all the buttons you need, even R3/L3 (analog stick buttons). Only complaint is it doesn't quite feel like an original controller, I wish they made the buttons more like NES/SNES.

These look amazing!

Seriously considering replacing my Xbox One controller for one of these for use with my retro emulator box/pc!

Is it worth the time/money/effort or should I stick with the Xbox one controller...it does work well after all!

I just wonder if it keeps it's place in the joyid for windows when you turn it off?  Does anyone have any hands on experience?  The only  thing that would keep me from this is if I had to remap controls every time I turned it off and on again.

I am not sure about the joystick ID, but isn't there a 3rd party app that people use around here that forces the ID order? I haven't used it but I'm pretty sure something exists.

It may work ok as a replacement for the xbone pad but I would say that the shoulder buttons are no where near as comfortable as triggers, the outer buttons also are a backwards stretch on your index fingers which can get tiring. Even if you don't like it for HS at least you'll have a kick-ass on-the-go pad for when you have downtime with a tablet or your phone. I was playing PS1 Jedi Power Battles last night on the tablet in bed and it was working well.

I purchased the SNES30's first for an option for wife/kids then realized I needed more buttons if they wanted to play anything newer than SNES so I bought two of the NES Pro's and so far I love them.

I am having some issues mapping the buttons on the bottom though to back out of retroarch to get into hyperspin though. If anyone has a solution ?

When I try to map for example the back button on the bottom to Escape Retroarch it shows the say Key number as the B button which kinda makes it worthless as everytime you press B it closes Hyperspin
