craiganderson Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 OK....finally got a few zinc games to load via hyperlaunch but i get a "no disk in drive h" type error when exiting the game to get back to the wheel see pic of error below any ideas? lets take "tekken" as my example here is my database file for tekken </game> <game name="45" index="" image=""> <description>Tekken</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc></crc> <manufacturer>Namco</manufacturer> <year>1994</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>AAMA - Yellow (Animated Violence Mild)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> the tekken rom is saved as tekken.zip (not 45.zip).....doesnt work with 45.zip but does work with tekken.zip i have the zinc emulator opening zinc.exe what else can i tell you to help me out? why am i getting this error? any help greatly appreciated craig http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
mameshane Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 whatever is here <game name="45" is what hyperlaunch sends to the emulator to run. if you don't have a rom named that, it's going to give errors. I would rename your rom to 45.zip. if it still work. does it work out of HL? if yes then set your logging level to troubleshoot and paste your log here or on pastebin My Cab.. 1-UP ARCADE new hyperspin irc details.. come hang out!
32assassin Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 create 71 empty folders named them 1 to 71 zip all empty folders to individual zip files move them all to a dummy files folder add a second rom path to that dummy rom folder you are done. when ever you audit your roms in HyperLaunchHQ it will find the dummy files but load the correctly named takken to the Zinc emulator.

hhgross Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Did you ever figure this out? I'll post a new thread if not.
hhgross Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 If anyone comes upon this problem, here's how I "fixed" it: The error was asking for something in Drive H... I have a smart media reader and one of the drive letters assigned to it is H. I don't use that particular card reader, so I changed the drive letter on that to an available letter, K. Now there's no more error when I exit a Zinc game in Hyperlaunch. Still don't know the cause of the error, couldn't find anything anywhere in Zinc or HL referencing drive H, but this is my workaround and hopefully is stays working.
Polemicist Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I'm surprised that you guys have had so many problems. For me zinc was one of the easy ones. I grabbed a named zip set named DB setup Zinc and downloaded media. From memory the second update was the only minor headache.
hhgross Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Mine was pretty easy too. Just had that weird error popping up when exiting games, but I've got it sorted now.
trinipablo660 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I am having the same problem launching zinc games in HS but it launches in the native Zinc exe,
