redmistpete Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Hi, I wondered if anyone would want my wheel-art and backgrounds for 200+ popular gamehouse/reflexive arcade/spintop/bigfish/zylom/popcap games. I also have around 50 flv's from Bigfish. The wheel-art is square 'buttoned' tiles from the game's box-art and the backgrounds are just snapshots from the games which I then desaturated by 85%. Most of the artwork and flv's are official but I had to make a few myself. Took me quite a while to do so might save someone the extra work - juts not sure how popular these types of games are with normal people LOL. If you haven't tried these games yet - the full games are free to download from the first 2 sites but are limited to a 60 minute trial which can be easily unlocked (presumably by paying for it ) www.reflexive.com - Good for downloaing the majority of games www.gamehouse.com - Good for downloading the few games that aren't on reflexive.com www.bigfishgames.com - Good for downloading the flv's (videos) www.spintop-games.com www.popcap.com - Good for theme background art: http://images.popcap.com/www/images/product/game_mastheads/peggle_footer.jpg http://www.oberongames.com http://www.uk.zylom.com Here are the images so far (although not all the flv's are done yet *deep breath in, rolls eyes, long sigh out*): Click here for all Wheel & Background Art> http://s432.photobucket.com/albums/qq49/redmistpete/?start=0 Example Wheel Art: Example Background Art: Genre Art:
bodydump Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Wow, thats alot. How many of those games work well on a cabinet? I guess you can play most if you have a trackball. I would definitely be interested in them. My wife loves those hidden object games and I always liked bookworm for some reason. Good work getting all those done. redmistpete Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 Wow, thats alot. How many of those games work well on a cabinet? I guess you can play most if you have a trackball. I would definitely be interested in them. My wife loves those hidden object games and I always liked bookworm for some reason. Good work getting all those done. Thanks, they all work quite nicely in a cabinet but the mouse-specific ones (hidden object and marble busters) will only work, as you say, with either a trackerball or a touchscreen (although some of them are doubled-up for keyboard control as well). I'm currently building a new touch-screen cabinet specifically for this type of game - not a standard cab build though, kinda like a base with a pedestal and then the screen on top. The 'puter will be inside the pedestal and some chromium-steel tubes (bent to appropriate shape) and possibly a tidy adhesive vinyl print and coin-mech will hopefully finish it off nicely. By all means you can have the images - seems though that I can only upload 10 images to this thread - I've found a host called "photobucket" so I can upload them all there first and then link them back to here over the next few days! Cheers for the interest PS: "Bookworm Adventures" is a wicked game if you liked "Bookworm" and the Travelogue 360 Paris, Rome and London are quite special hidden object games

LOL, wow - a step-son No problem, I'll get more uploaded later. Yeah, this post is gonna become hideously long and take about 10 minutes to load up. Cheers.
BadBoyBill Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Maybe 640 x 480 screenshots would be better.
redmistpete Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Maybe 640 x 480 screenshots would be better. I just put the link for the images on, rather than bog down the site - still got some backgrounds left to upload.
Ravenscar Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 wow, thank you, i almost made this myself. now i've got a lot of free time on my hands. and i love most arcade pc games, very cool puzzle games and hidden objects. will there be themes that we can download and install?

redmistpete Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Hi, no problem Ravenscar - I haven't got round to doing any individual game themes yet but here's the generic layout I'm using for all the games: (put the "Genre art" in Hyperspin/Media/Gameboy Advance/Images/Artwork2 and rename each one with the appropriate game's name). Any FLV's will drop in from the top! Dazz Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Wow thats a lovely ammount. are the game being uploaded onto this site or do we have to download else where. No, these games are games that need to be purchased. You will need to download them else where.
Keyser_Soze Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 redmistpete, I offer you my most enthusiastic contrafribularities. You no mess with the Lo Wang
redmistpete Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Wow thats a lovely ammount. are the game being uploaded onto this site or do we have to download else where. The games themselves can all be downloaded (for free) from reflexive.com and gamehouse.com The games are not freeware though; they are 60 minute try-before-you buy trial games which become 'unlocked' when you pay for the game and enter the serial code - I have full working versions of all the listed games
Darkmindz Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Very nice mate, could we have copies of these full versions at all. He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way!
redmistpete Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Very nice mate, could we have copies of these full versions at all. Fraid not - forums don't like piracy You can PM me for a quick chat about the themes though.
Ravenscar Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 will you upload the themes in the downloads section of this site? I can't wait to see them in action
redmistpete Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 will you upload the themes in the downloads section of this site? I can't wait to see them in action Yay! Themes, themes, themes
Ravenscar Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Yeah! THEMES I'm designing my own themes now, I guess i couldn't wait Very basic with a large full color screenshot as a background and video from big fish, should be without the intro logo. And maybe with the game title somewhere. Wheel images will take a lot more time to create. I will upload a complete set when it's finished, after a month or so, maybe 2, sorry, i don't have much time. oh, and it will be in 3 categories: Action, Adventure and Puzzle games. And I'm only creating themes for (small) pc games that i really like, around 50+ games.
Darkmindz Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Ravenscar thats nice to hear mate thank you. He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way!
