zebulon
Thanks man! I have a LEDWiz on the way so I can test it out, and a power distribution design that has been shipped so it should only be a couple of weeks before I can place a large order and start production. arngrim
Are we thinking about alternatives of ledwiz? Especially with DOF that can be adapted to more hardware. Because with ledwiz is pretty limited in terms of color rendering, only 48 possibilities instead of a usual 255, and the low intensities makes the color flickering. Except that i love the ouptut kit and booster board that i bought from you
zebulon
Funny you should ask that. I'm currently looking for someone with pic programming abilities that might be interested in a winter project....
shakenbake
I do not have that level of programming skills but I am very interested in funding any project that advances what goes into our pincabs
Luckydogg420
Just for a total noob, can you tell us what these boards do? Do they go between a led wiz and the contactors to boost power? I'm planning to begin my build this winter. Just bought a tv.
zebulon
That's exactly what they do. The ledwiz has a limitation of 500ma per output up to 2w per chip at any given time, the boards amplify that capacity to 8x that amount.

Im looking at upgrading my cabinet.
zebulon
Still waiting on the ledwiz to arrive (I ran out) to test the design but I see no reason why it won't pass. I'm shooting for a price tag that's sub $200 for the kit (power distro board, output board, resistor board for leds and ribbon cable). This specific board I'm hoping will come in around $90 - $100 but I'm having a hard time getting quotes on assembly (the through hole boards were fine to assemble but this one is a bit of a bear with the sot Mosfets being so small). My goal this week is to get a quote from North American Board manufacturers as I've jumped through hoops for the Chinese and never heard anything back from them. Obviously, getting assembly done in the US or Canada is going to make for a better quality part but also a more expensive one. Thanks for looking!
