I built a cab a few years ago and it contained about 1TB of Hyperspin,i sold my cabinet a while back and my HDD was badly damaged,i am now needing to look into starting this up again,but its breaking my heart having to redo all this again,it took me about a year of help from the community and subscription to emumovies etc to get into it.....anyways, how big is your HDD setup nowadays guys? I didn't have GC/PS or Dreamcast at the time but I heard they are hefty in size.

if there are any UK guys here that could help me in hardware stores they purchased parts from etc I would appreciate it

thanks

2 TB will allow every system you can imagine (including MAME growing room and all artwork) up to the Dreamcast/PS1 era.

If you plan on having PS2/Wii/xbox/360 you'll want 4TB. No matter what you buy - buy 2 drives. Don't be a dumb dumb and not make a backup of your Hyperspin setup.

Come on giga, barely fit one skinny dipping video of me.

I have a Hyperspin wheel with your skinny dipping videos on ;)

@bonoscot

What hardware were you thinking of?

The 3tb drive I got recently was from AriaPC for £72 + £8 bloody delivery, but still very good. Thats about 2 thirds full so far.

I have Hyperspin on a separate SSD so everythings loads really quick (I need to do a video showing that) it is a luxury but the difference makes for a better experience.

Plus there's the os on a 120gb SSD another 120gb SSD just for Steam.

A 1tb drive for TV and music

A 1tb drive for blu ray

And a 2tb drive for other movie formats, dvd, mkv etc.

Oh, and another 1tb drive which I need to put to better use and sort out.

I have a 1TB in one setup with everything up to Dreamcast, I don't think I have Saturn setup on it (not enough room). The second setup I have is a 2TB and that contains everything up to PS1, still missing just under 200 games. Also have a spare 2TB I use as a backup for everything so far. 1:1 copy - even when I adjust/change things I do it on both drives.

Had my ISP not limited my download amount to 250 gigs per month (used to be unlimited) earlier this year, I probably would of added a few more drives and downloaded PS2/Gamecube/Wii.
