Pls help me bros

styphelus Bro,

I have downloaded your full folder and replaced mine. But in yours have many host files , which one I need to load?

I tried 2 of them but it goes to dark screen, nothing happen next if l run the game outside HQ.

I tried to run inside HQ below screen came up with game name this time on key, how to start the game?

For CD32 you can map Port 1 just like you mapped Port 2. Instead of setting Port 1 to Windows mouse, set it up just like you did the other port.

Thanks for the guide Roy! Following your guide on setting up Commodore Amiga with WinUAE works flawlessly but not CD32. It would just keep on the Amiga CD title screen loop after hitting Alt/Enter on the key lock screen. Sometimes a language selection screen will shows up but still, selecting any language also return me to the title screen.

 

I'm using the CD32 roms downloaded from WHDLoad romset. The kickstart ROMs are also setup appropriately.

Be sure 7z support is turned off for this system. Also, check to make sure your rom set it not double zipped. Inside the original files should be a directory and .info file. If there is a single .lha or zip file in there, they need to be extracted first.

if someone tries to solve my problem with Hyperspin-hyperlanuch-WinUAE Amiga and Amiga CD32?

 

I tested various versions of WinUAE (2.2.0, 2.3.3, 2.6.0, 2.6.1, 3.0.1) each time you run the wine manually and load the cd32host my file with my settings, everything works great.But when I start WinUAE from the hyperlanuch or Hyperspin runs WinUAE with my settings cd32host only partly ...

 

Display settings, sounds, controller port, and even a rom loading correctly from my cd32host file.

 

But fpu cpu settings and chipset settings are change and this means that the game does not start to either activate and behave as if it were sluggish computer, the sound crackles in slow motion. 

 

I then enter the settings manually change the winuae and fpu on the 68020 cpu, fastest as possible, 24-bit, more compatible and in chipset uncheck: the exact cycle and wait for bitter. Then again, the game comes as it should be. Hyperlaunch loads do all my settings from the file cd32host ...

 

The same is true for the Amiga and WHD.

 

The second issue, how to change your controllers only for selected games? For example, Pinball Dreams I have to manually change the control Keybord Layout B to A. In pozsostałych games, setting B is ok.

As for controllers, there is a way.

Per game uae files.  Very easy to get setup.

The module uses the ...\Configurations\Host\cd32host.uae file.  But if there is a game uae file, it will use it instead.  Example:  ...\Configurations\Akira (Europe).uae

So do this:

Launch WinUAE.  Load your cd32host.uae config file.

Make the changes to the controls you need.

Save the file (not to Host) to ...\Configurations\{game name}.uae

Copy that file and rename it over again for each additional game you need these new controls on.

OK, at this moment I have so if I file * .uae for a particular game configuration takes off and runs WinUAE as I set. otherwise WinUAE starts with cycle-exact (which can not be). display settings, sound, controllers are ok in the case of emulation Amiga 1200 did not work my way with a * .uae in configuration, ie, display settings, sound, controllers are ok, but starts with cycle-exac

Hello all. I am trying to get the CD32 setup using Hyperspin and RocketLauncher. I am using WinUAE and have followed this guide as closely as possible. I have read through this thread as well as the other WinUAE setup thread and I have seen similar problems, but none of the corrective actions are working for me. It seems that the cd32host.uae config file is not being passed correctly to the WinUAE emulator by RocketLauncher or RocketLauncherUI. Any suggestions what I can look at to fix it?

Hi,

If the general consensis is that it's bad roms, meaning Amiga Kickstart/OS roms, the only option is to get the right roms.  ;)

If you are talking about the game "roms" (cue/bin) files are bad, the only way to fix them, is to fix the cue file or get the good game roms.

 

Now, that all said, I would need a little more information.

The ones that work, bin/cue or something else?

The ones that are bad, bin/cue or something else?

Can you mount the game in DT or some other Virtual Drive software?

When a game does not launch, what happens?

 

Lastly,

Please post your RocketLauncher.log file after setting your Logging Level to Troubleshooting and trying to launch a game that does not run.

I know all the games are good as they run with no issue in WinUAE. I am using the TOSEC kickstarts and the scan within WinUAE found the correct CD32 kickstart and extended roms. Note that I also purchased Amiga Forever so have access to those kicks if needed. What I am seeing is when I launch a game from RocketLauncher or RocketLauncher UI, the game starts up but it is not using the correct kickstart rom, hence why some of the games will work (probably using default A500 or AROS rom). 

 

If I launch the same games straight within WinUAE, they run fine. Somewhere, (I'm guessing cd32host.uae) the proper kick rom is not getting passed to WinUAE from RL or RLUI. 

 

Examples of this would be Akira with the repeatedly blinking Akira logo. If I launch within WinUAE the game runs fine. 

 

Another example is Beneath a Steel Sky. In WinUAE it works perfect. From RL and RLUI I get a solid red screen.

Ok, now I'm completely stumped. All of my emulators, roms, and HyperSpin setup is on a removable drive which I mount as H:

 

I moved the drive to another laptop and the RL and RLUI launch the CD32 games with no problem, same exact setup. I then move the drive back to the non-working laptop (a SurfacePro) and a large number of the games do not work. From what I can see on the surface, it looks like the Aros rom is being used, hence the games will not run. But this is all on the same WinUAE portable install, on the same drive mounted at the same letter. 

 

Any ideas? I'm all out.

Ok,

Take a close look at the run line in the log.  Compair it to the run line in the other laptop.  So, launch the same game on both.  Compair the run lines and let me know if there is any differences.

Another thing to try, rename your cd32mousehost.uae file so RL doesn't try to use it.

Either one is  fine.  One is just telling you what it's going to use, the other is what is actually passed out.  They are the same.

Finally got around to checking this and here are the results - they are exactly the same, only on the HP 8560W laptop, the game works fine, on the Surface tablet the game doesn't work. It loads but the Akira logo just blinks. On the HP, the CD32 BIOS clearly loads, but not so on the Surface. It appears to either be using the Aros or default BIOS. Any other ideas what I could check for?

Finally got around to checking this and here are the results - they are exactly the same, only on the HP 8560W laptop, the game works fine, on the Surface tablet the game doesn't work. It loads but the Akira logo just blinks. On the HP, the CD32 BIOS clearly loads, but not so on the Surface. It appears to either be using the Aros or default BIOS. Any other ideas what I could check for?

Here is my cd32host.uae file. There is only one since I am running this from the same WinUAE emulator directory on the same drive. I don't see anything that jumps out at me. The kickstarts shouldn't change either since they are all in the same directory on the same drive. The only thing I could see changing in this file would be hardware specific parameters depending on which laptop I was on.

Ok,

Just for grins.  Rename or move your cd32host.uae file and try a launch.  If it still fails, post your winuaelog.txt file.  I am running out of options here.  ;)

Hi Ron,

Firstly thank you very much for the guide.

I seem to be having a problem. On loading a game e.g. Zool, I get a black screen. If i wait a couple of minutes suddenly the game loads???

Any idea what may be going wrong?

PS. I have manually loaded a cue file in winuae as per the instructions earlier in the thread and I get the same result.... a blank/grey screen for a couple minutes then the game loads.

 

 

Final update Ron.

All is working really well.

There were some glaring oversights on my end.

Firstly when I was adding Winuae under global settings I needed to add "cue" under file format.

Secondly, I had to enable 7z support for this system.

All works both with and without fades.

I read this entire thread for answers before posting. I am getting the same blank screen for nearly a minute before any game launches.

 

Thanks for the reply Ron. So I did each step you mentioned, and started the game. It does the same exact thing it did in Hyperspin before. It starts w/ a black screen, then a shade lighter, then the Akira logo pops up and keeps flashing. It does this for an indefinite amount of time, no matter what button I press.

 

I also keep getting the Akira logo flashing for an indefinite amount of time.

 

Lastly, I got Battletoads to play after it took 1-2 minutes to load. The sound is very bad. When I setup Sega CD this was happening but turning off vsync fixed this. What do I do here?

 

 

I can drop my setup on the FTP tonight if that helps.

 

Is this still on the FTP? I cannot find it.
