I'll take some pics of mine when I get home this weekend. My new gpu is arriving today :)

Then my system is 'complete' for the time being until I can save up some cash to buy a new 1440p ips monitor and/or an interactive pen display.

Looking into buying this Eizo EcoView EV2736W

eizo_ev2736w-6.jpg

flexstand3.jpg

IPS

27"

2560x1440p

16.77 million

178°, 178°

300 cd/m2

1000:1

6ms (not the best, but otherwise it would be 5ms on an inferior panel with more backlight bleeding etc. It's more for graphical work than gaming anyway)

€685 (auch!)

My mate has just received 3 of these at a good price. Supposedly the smallest bezel out there.

Better review: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2414h.htm

I've read several reviews on Dell monitors. A lot of em aren't that great, some are. The bezel tends to look a lot thinner on the promotional pictures than in real life though.

I hear he's going to attached the disco ball the GPU fan. It lights up like that UFO from Close Encounters when switched on. ;)

Well, my motherboard and fan controller have leds..... though I turn em off. I like busy themes, but a sleek and understated work environment. Except for the huge size of my case and my mouse n keyboard having adjustable leds, but I only have the keyboard on in 1 color, just for ease of use.

I bought the slim bezel Dell U2414H which is very nice, but I'd never get 3 of them on my desk.

I now have a spare 23"Dell which will hopefully be used for a cocktail table.

I didn't go for a dell as many have a backlight bleeding issue

Yeah, I picked mine because I want to to graphical work on it and it would be nice if the latency wouldn't be more than 5-6ms. So it had to be 27", 1440p for a good workspace and have good color representation and little to no backlight bleeding.

All in all with color accuracy a good frame and 5 year warranty, this seemed to be a good pick, even for it's price range.

btw, the cheapest I can find your monitor here is £190

Well that basement "they" have you locked in, isn't as bad as I thought and you can fall straight into bed; if you fall the right way of course.

I imagined something like this.

Wish my desk was that tidy.

lol, no this is way better than the hole I'm in during the week. But my time there is running to a close and I have some time off now & then before I depart there. This is my temporary room at my dads before I start looking for my own place again.
