I might start doing the same - cheers for the info. The only thing I ever really need is no nag turning off. Especially since hi score is available without patch now.

In src\frontend\mame\ui\ui.cpp, just comment out line 372 and 379:

Line 372: //      int str = machine().options().seconds_to_run();

Line 379: //      if (!first_time || (str > 0 && str < 60*5) || &machine().system() == &GAME_NAME(___empty) || (machine().debug_flags & DEBUG_FLAG_ENABLED) != 0)

I've been using this method for a while now, but in 0.173 they moved the location of the file to the above mentioned path. :)

if you are interested in dual lightguns please pm or look at my download page for mameuifx 173 and read the post there

Yes definitely need a 2 lightguns version. I tried every possible setting with 172. No joy. Version 171 worked without issue. I'll look at your download when I'm not on my phone. Cheers

Can anyone confirm that Sevenseal s version works with 2 aim track lightguns. I could try it but am still a bit off from having my build ready.

Hi,

finally got around to trying this again....Sadly it still only allows one mouse/lightgun to work. Version 171 was simple to get both to work/register as different items.

thanks

Well 174 is out. In the notes it says the new one makes changes to dinput because their last changes made it incompatible with some types of joysticks... So that's good right?

I compiled 174 and found it to be even more clunky than 173.  I realize a ton of work is still going into the project, but the closer the software gets to the function of the original hardware, the more demanding the entire process becomes.

I admit I was geeked out when I saw some movement on the model1 module, but VF emulation is still very broken so this does not appear to be referring to "Sega Model 1".  Also - any "must-have" software in this build?  - Not especially.  I'd wait for 175 and see what's next.
