bribbon Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 hello together I am trying since 4 days a functioning HyperSpin system to install. after I've read a lot and partly also studied hours of video instructions, I could SNES (snes9x) and Sega Genesis / 32X (fusion561) successfully implemented without problems. keymapper (Xpadder profiles) and all videos emumovies from my account, I was able to implement. However, I have the biggest problems with the project 64 system (version 1.6.1 or 1.7.0.49). even with the associated ahk-Modules I could, after trying many, many hours, do not take into operation. Problem: HS or HLHQ launch a N64 rom -> project64 start and ask for a rom (open rom prompt). I manage not to find a remedy. even after I have updated all modules with the module updater. I tried various settings which are described in ahk modules notes: -new install project64 1.6 with 1.6.1 patch -SelectGameMode 1 or 2 or default (ahk-module 1.6.1) -On loading a ROM, go to fullscreen (checked) -Enable CPU (checked) -Start Emulation when rom is opened (checked) -System registry (can't find dword for my problem: rom open prompt) When I use the full rom-path with Ctrl+V insert in this window and confirm by pressing enter, the emulator starts in fullscreen as it should I'm at the end and are perplexed I ask for advice. Polemicist Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Couple of quick questions. You read the module notes (if any) for this emulator as you set it up in HyperLaunchHQ? Multiple games load with the emulator without issue outside of HyperLaunch and doesn't ask for a second file or anything? Have you tried a different emulator?

Not working: same as in point 1 5. Not working: emu has not been started I have both studied and applied to the module-info to the best of conscience. However, I have put the focus mainly on the first combination with the emu version 1.6.1. would newer versions like running to the example 2.1.0.1 better? Multiple games load: I don't know what that is.. Coding in the above log something useful in it? I think many old threads from the years 2009 and 2010, confuse me more in the search for the solution. The more grateful I am for more support.

Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem." after search lot the only issue I found is the language of windows (Spanish) but I try to change in the *.ahk file but its seems to be good because have a variables for each language I use the same emus and combinations than you, I hope someone help us! *Out of HS the emu works perfect

Just wait a bit until djvj updates the modules and you can let us know if it's working for you. Stay tuned.

Honestly made me(?) the GUI design of hyperlaunchHQ probably more confused than helped. The whole time I have the Project64 emu added at the wrong place in HLHQ and tried without success to take operational. I tried to reach the most logical to me. I have added and configured the emulator always right in the emulator 'tab'. That was wrong! The configuration is much easier - if you know how .. 1. Open HLHQ 1. Global (left side) 2. Tab: Emulators (know you see all modules that HLHQ provides) 3. Search module: Project64 2.0.0.14 4. Edit it with the path to your emu (v2.1.0.1 works well without special editing the module) 5. Switch to Nintendo 64 (left side) 6. Tab: Emulators 7. Add Rom path 8. Important selection-> Default Emulator: Project64 2.0.0.14 9. NOT ADD a emu with the plus -button directly.. a big help was the manual of ghutch92 (thank you man!). the opposite of the numerous outdated threads and post here in the forum. In relation to the new HLHQ software and their handling of the new ahk-files setup, haves misguided me this unfortunately more. Please consider it for the full guide. perhaps one could in future versions the GUI design in this regard remodel a bit. see the second picture: arrow 9 -> this plus button enticed to become downright depressed:pcguru:
brolly Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I don't see anything wrong with the design, the plus button and the default emulator buttons both serve completely different purposes. You should have read a bit about the different HL ini files so you could have a better understanding of how things work. @djvj: Make sure you only call PostMessage if state = 1 right now you call it every time which is probably not a good idea as it might cause issues. Or at least call it after ScriptError only since it will never get called anyway

Going to v2.0 is not an option since I come from there (Smash Bros doesn't work for example). I tend to edit script with notepad rather than using GUI, I understand it better that way, in case someone found a solution.

I was able to resolve most my issues following these settings I found on the net somewhere for project 64: Project64 Commonly Used: •Glide64 2.0.0.1 •Shunyuan’s HLE Audio (set to LLE) •BatCat’s MLE RSP or Zilmar’s RSP •Either of the RSP plugin should be fine for most games. Keep both of them around just in case. Although, BatCat’s RSP plugin is more compatible, but Zilmar’s tends to be faster. Keep in mind that Glide64 2.0.0.1 is the same as Glide64 Final. Glide64 2.0.0.1 is just a merge of Glide64, GlideHQ, and Glitch64 (which of course the final version has) to be one file, but limits you to certain settings that cannot be changed with the emulator. Best Performance: •Glide64 Final •Azimer’s HLE Audio •Zilmar’s RSP •Make sure you configure the graphics plugin to show texture enhancement options. Then you’ll have an extra tab to change more options. Goto the texture enhancement tab and click on the button that gives best performance and it should improve framerate once you saved the settings. There’s also another button for best texture quality. There’s no need to touch the other plugins. Recommended for most emulators. Best Texture Quality: •Shunyuan’s SoftGraphic •Shunyuan’s HLE Audio •BatCat’s MLE RSP •Do not expect to run the emulator with these plugins without a powerful PC. Audio can mislead easily if it’s not in sync with the graphics when using without a powerful PC. Gives best and most accurate appearance, but will give up a big amount of framerates just to run it.
Dogway Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Yes, I hit that page before, and what actually worked better for me were the default jabo plugins of v2.1.0.1. Project64 2.1 - The most recent version of Project64, now public and open source (though the official download asks you to install useless toolbars). Its RDB is somewhat outdated, and some games have issues with audio and timing regardless of plugin setup unless you mess around with timing settings. Some users have also reported problems with BSODs, which apparently may be an issue with outdated Windows system files. However, the user interface is quite a bit nicer and easier to use, and switching between RSP plugins is far easier than in 1.6. It also fixed a number of games that were completely broken in 1.6, such as Kirby 64. Still, for general use, it might be wise to stick to either Project64 1.6 or Mupen64 for the time being.Project64 1.6 - The older but more stable version. The interface is slightly clunkier, and switching between RSP plugins is a pain (the desired RSP plugin must be named rsp.dll for the emulator to see it and use it), but timing issues are less severe, it has a more up-to-date RDB at the moment, and many of the later improvements were ported back through Jabo's 1.6.1 patch. It is one of the best emulators for general use, with good compatibility with most of the popular games. I might as well give RetroArch's Mupen64 a try.

Granted it is impossible for me to test every game thoroughly to make sure it works. However I know I tested Smash Brothers because it did not work on my 1.6 setup when someone came over to play it and we couldn't(always a great let down when someone finds the 1 game out of a zillion that doesn't work). Thanks for the info.

It worked but performance wasn't great, and also couldn't make shaders work as expected so I recommend again to stick to Project64 1.6.1.... well, if someone finds a solution for the thread title, that is.

OpenROM(dialogOpen . " ahk_class #32770", romPath . "\" . romName . romExtension) ...with... OpenROM("Open ahk_class #32770", romPath . "\" . romName . romExtension) ...in "Project64" module, also work for "Project Tempest". Fixed Modules.zip
