Taito Type X issue

Hi Guys,

I got an issue with my TTX games. My Hyperspin is still on my external USB drive so I can configure it on my laptop and use it on my arcade cab (don't like to configure while on my cab) :-) ). On my laptop everything is working perfect. When i take my USB drive to my cab and connect it over there, the games are not working. I see a small DOSS screen (see that also on my laptop), but short after I get the error as seen down here (or in the attached file, site won't upload it at the moment).

'There was an error waiting for the window "Blaz Blue". Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding you problem.'

NB: Blaz Blue is the game I try to start...

So it is working on my laptop, not on my cab (same USB drive, same Hyperspin setup). Someone an idea how to fix this ?

Kind Regards,

Machello

I haven't messed with my Type X and X2 setup in a while but I remember when I was setting up either type x or x2 I had to set the wait thing (can't remember what it's actually called the app wait or whatever) but basically you set something to wait for the program to load or whatever... errrr hopefully somebody else will respond that has a better memory.

In the AppWaitExe box under global module settings for that game under PC Launcher module add the following:

game.exe

That will take care of the timeout error.

Not sure if it is related but there are a couple of games from memory that have no sound if they are stored on an external hard drive connected by USB cable. Had to move them to C drive to get sound.

Do you have the same path and drive letter assigned for both your laptop and cab?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, they have the same path and drive letter.

Yes, that's how you'e supposed to set them up. But he said he already had them setup correctly which would imply he has already done all that... because if not then he didn't have them set up and working.

My question is does the game actually work outside of HS/RL? Yes, setting the AppWait will get rid of the fade error but if the game itself is not working that won't matter and could still throw that error.

Hi Agent47,

I managed to run the game (a few times) outside HS on my Cab while HS was on my external drive. When I run it through HS, it fails again with same issue :-(. After a few tries outside HS it doesn't run anymore now... I get a windows 10 warning. It's in Dutch so I used Google translate, but it's something like 'UI permission to manage applications'. I had to terminate the program in taskmanager because it didn't respond anymore.

On my laptop it's still working.

I'm confused ....

Windows 10 may have quarantined some of the TTX files but it would have thrown up a warning.

Using Windows 10 on my laptop as well. Didn't have the warning there... Strange huh

Hi Rincewind,

Sorry for the late response, don't have a lot of time at the moment. Will look into your suggestion as soon as possible, thanks!
