jevansoh Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'm a total noob but since I've followed Simply Austin's YouTube tutorials and spent about 20 hours with HyperSpin and all of its components so far, I feel like I'm becoming familiar with the program and making progress. I have tried every intuitive thing I can try to get bezels to show and have turned that option on everywhere I see but no matter what I do they just won't show up. Austin actually had trouble getting them to work in one of his videos and so there is no clear answer I can find. I'd appreciate any assistance anyone may be able to give. Thanks, --J
gigapig Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 First off you must put the bezels in the correct place with their corresponding ini file. Some people make the mistake of thinking they should go in the HyperSpin media folder but they are actually a RocketLauncher feature and nothing to do with Hyperspin. Once placed correctly and switched on either globally or per system they should show up. Have a look through the video below which should help you, but don't download the bezels in the description unless you use a 4:3 monitor as they are a little old now and many more have been created in 16:9.
ci2own Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Is it possile to use bezels but without making the game window smaller? Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk Pro

You can also use the fullscreen bezel option if you want the game to go full screen.

jevansoh Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Ok, I was able to get one bezel working. I see how to manually do one bezel per system and that isn't "too" tedious, but HyperSync doesn't seem to do bezels and a lot of (all?) games could use their own bezel. Is there any easy way to install a bezel "pack?" Where might I find these bezels? A link would be very helpful. Thanks so much for all the responses! I'm starting to love this place!! --J
griffin518 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 You're right in that there's no syncing software available to grab bezels. Both Metalzoic and myself provide "packs." His pack is more inclusive than mine and covers more games, with more options, so I think you should start there. See my signature for links to what I provide and Metalzoic's thread for information on where to obtain his. Welcome aboard! We're happy to have you.

They will need extracting into there folders

I just finished installing your pack for Mame! It took a few tries but is working great. Do you by chance have a link to the other thread that is more complete? Maybe I could just fill in what's missing from yours? I don't know if it works that way. Thanks for the warm welcome, too. I'm happy to be here. Have folks made bezel packs for the console systems? I keep hearing about FTP and although I know what that is, I never see any links and can't seem to find any. I'd like to have bezels for my console's, too, even if it's just a generic one for each system instead of per game. Thanks again for all your hard work, --J

gigapig Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 No problem. The highlight is the path on the Emumovies ftp ( /Official/Bezels ). Essentially the "Official" Folder then the "Bezels" folder.

So I would download an FTP client and point it to ftp://emumovies.com/Official/Bezels and enter my username/password for the site to get access? I assume once I'm on there, it's obvious what's what?

You will need to be lifetime Member at Emumovies, if you are not then you won't have access to the ftp. There is a 25% discount code for Hyperspin Platinum members if you need it. You can find how to access the Emumovies ftp Here.

Thanks again for all your hard work, --J Console bezels are kind of all over the place, you'll have to poke around. John Merrit had some cool ones made to look like old televisions. I'm using Zaazu's from the RL forum right now, but like to switch them up every now and again.
