The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

hello everyone, I'm having some issues making my games work in hyperspin. I can make all my games work individually if i open up the emulator and play them, but if i try to get them working in hyperspin they don't work :( My emulators and Rom paths are all correct. Im a Noob so any help would be awesome. Thanks! :)

could be any number of reasons. what systems are you actually having running from hyperspin? and do they launch from RL? but not launching from HS??

I cant get any system to work. I launch with hyperspin and everything works fine until I choose a game.. then I get an error message that I posted above.. To me is seems that a path of mine isn't correct but I cant seem to figure it out.

@agent47 it's just missing the extension to his attachments.

He gets an RL error saying it cannot find the database under ..\Desktop\Arcade\RL\RLui\Databases\Sega Genesis\Sega Genesis.xml

I believe this is because HS & RL arent linked properly right?

that didn't seem to work either. the rom path its telling me isn't what i set up... i even tried redoing the rom path and it still defaults to C: documents blah blah blah blah hyperspin\databasses\future pinball\future pinball.xml

I advise you to take a look at Avar's tutorials. You should also consider moving Hyperspin and/or your roms to another location as your desktop cause you might run into issues if you have roms with extremely long names.

On a side note there's this useful key on your keyboard called Prt Scr, this will copy anything which is displayed on your screen to the clipboard. Paste it in mspaint or another image editing tool and save it. Much easier imo than whipping out your phone and pointing it at the monitor.

unfortunetly the computer I'm using hyperspin on is offline so i can't screen print (it does have all the latest xml files and recent rocket launcher updates). I just watched the first 5 videos and have checked all my settings along the way....still can't figure it out....whats weird is i try to open one specific game (3 ninjas kick back) and it still says the same error "hyperspin\databasses\future pinball\ future pinball.xml" shouldn't it be trying to find the 3 ninjas xml???????

Follow the tutorials. Do that and it should all work right the first time.

I would backup your setup and do a fresh install, you definitely have some wrong settings in there somewhere.

EDIT: Actually, before doing that upload a RocketLauncher Troubleshooting log (instructions can be found here). Either upload the txt file directly or put it on pastebin.com and link to it here. DO NOT just copy and paste the log contents in a post.
