The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

By next week I will be upgrading my OS to Win7 64bit. Presently I am on XP 32bit with 3gb ram. I will add on a total of 8gb ram. (16gb ram is the max i can add but I think that would be overkill)

Do you believe I will see a significant improvement in the Hyperspin system?

When I went from 4gb to 8gb ram, I noticed that it positively affected the hyperspin wheel motion in mame. I can now hold down the joystick and it spins very smooth without the jerky motion it had before. Good luck with you upgrade.

I just upgrade the machine to (win7 64bit). I will have a total of 10gb ram (2gb ram on one slot and 8gb on the other)

You might get BSOD like this. If not - then good times!

Your bios should automatically down clock any mismatched ram speed. Lowest always a priority over the larger so that they match. If they are the same speed, it doesn't matter if you have 32 gigs in one and 8 in another. Modern boards are made to handle this now.

From what I understand HS is processor heavy and adding loads of RAM wont make huge differences. Surely you should make sure your RAM runs in parallel matched pairs?
