BroodOvermind Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 When I try to launch MVS through retroarch, it crashes immediately. The log looks like it is looking for a few files that don't exist, but I am not exactly sure what they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am sure I missed something really obvious. snkMVS.html
BroodOvermind Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 No change by turning off 7zip. Where do I turn on troubleshooting log level?
BroodOvermind Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Nope, can't launch it through RA or HS. mvs2.html
BroodOvermind Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 This is what it looks like when I try to run with MAME. Just goes to a black screen, never loads the game mvsMame.html

BroodOvermind Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 yeah I have the mame bios in place. Really confused on this one haha
Metalzoic Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Your roms and bios are the same version as your Retroactive & MAME exe's? They're named properly? No idea about Retroarch itself as I don't use it for anything. Sent from my SM-G935V
BroodOvermind Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Well, I think the problem was that I was using an older rom set than the version of mame I was using. WOW Something I have just realized is that SNK Classics and SNK Neo Geo both use the exact same database? And NSK Neo Geo MVS is just a shorter version of the same list again? Why is it set up like this?? Am I missing something?

I run mine as an SNK & Neo Geo wheel so it includes all Neo-Geo games (snk and other manufacturers) and all earlier SNK only games. Neo Geo MVS would be shorter because it only has MVS games in it and doesn't include any non-MVS SNK games.
