Nocturnaloner Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 First of all, I love Hyperspin's theme capability. The wheels and themes are why I'm sticking with it. Granted that, is it possible to display the additional art in the MAME folders such as marquees, cabinets, and controls, linked to a keypress, for example? Not the built in theme art positions necessarily, but something that would display the MAME resources if they were present. Can custom text fields be created that will display the game year or display technology, or a game description?
lovemaker72 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Are you looking for something that isn't in HyperPause?
Nocturnaloner Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Are you looking for something that isn't in HyperPause? Haven't touched Hyperpause yet. I don't have it in my Hyperspin folder. So no, I don't know what it is. Off to search, thanks.
Nocturnaloner Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Ok, I have searched. Even though there is an entire forum dedicated to it, I can't find one single coherent discussion of what the heck Hyperpause is, and what features it has, much less a download link. Can you help me out?

Can you help me out? HyperPause is included within HyperLaunch. It is a feature of it. You may not have all the media, unless you downloaded the media pack for HyperLaunch. There is also lots of HyperPause media on the FTP server. Here is the google code page for HyperPause: https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/hyperpause In a nut-shell, it allows you to put in media about the speciffic system or game you are playing. You hit the HyperPause key (default is + key on the num-pad), your game is paused and you should have a menu to navigate. Nocturnaloner Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Does it have to be turned on in the config? Right now, hitting + on the numpad does nothing, but also some games seem to 'disconnect' MAME from Hyperspin (after start, MAME runs in a separate window while Hyperpin appears to go back to the wheel).

Yes, Launch HyperLaunchHQ. Make sure Global is selected on the top left. Then click on HyperPause on top. All your Global settings are there. Nocturnaloner Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 I did so, thanks. Now, Hyperpause can't run because it's missing fonts. Also, most if not all MAME roms that I run, play some kind of 'fail' noise on launching, then run fine on their own in MAME in a separate window, while Hyperspin goes back to the wheel. Any suggestions there?
zerojay Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 You need to follow the installation instructions. The installation of fonts is a part of it.
Nocturnaloner Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Ok, I have done the Gigapig step by step installation thread. What other installation instructions do I need to be reading?
