Has anyone seen a Cue Ball Wizard hi-res backglass by any chance?

Contacted a owner of CW, and he was willing to take some high res. photos of the BG with his 12MPxl cam.

The downside of the story is that he going to be on his vaccation for another 5 weeks!

Aaah... can't stand the waiting..! :D

Thanks to both of you! :)

Holly cow this thread is great. I can't believe how poor some of the backglasses in pre-done media packs are. I am very thankful for your download site here.

THANK YOU!

-Matt

For the use of UVP it is best to use images without illuminated bulps already shown as it is not the case with most of the so called HD Backglasses.

The ROM based Backglass activity comes to life best using a clean image ..

Cheers,

FD.

you see the effect when you do a side by side comparsion with a real pin backglass and a clean (powered off) vpin backglass.

IMO you loose a lot of the original look and feel and some "general illumination" when you use a clean (powered off) backlass image with UVP. there is often a "LEDspot effect" with a clean backglass image, too.

but like everything, it's a matter of taste. it's good to have various sets of backglasses available, so everybody can pick up his desired version.

cheers

I also posted this in its own thread in case people are not following this thread, and I'll probably keep it updated here as I post new UVPs

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14761

-------------------------------

I've been using Chriz99's high quality backglass images and Flying Dutchman's UVP scripts and grill images to create really high quality images for my 2 monitor cabinet.

I've received permission from both of them to release my modifications to the community. I noticed a bunch of requests from the community in Chriz99's thread for images with the grill. Since my cabinet only has 2 displays I was looking for these as well, so I just made my own.

Currently, With the exception of Jack-Bot, the UVP files that are available from Flying Dutchman's Backglass Paradise should work with all of these modifications. The zipped files include modified .UVP scripts. Many times the .UVP have not been altered, however, in other situations, the higher quality images have required realignment of the bulbs and score panels.

The files are hosted on VPForums and I'll try to keep an updated list of files here.
