Yo spinners

Planning to rename huge sets of PS2 roms,  During the renaming process the roms must removed from original source once it is renamed and moved to another folder to avoid duplicates & double up the space.  Which program can handle ?

Are you turning these into gzip archives? I think that's the good one which reduces the size a lot and is read very fast by PCSX2

I have used maxcso to convert all my ps2 roms to .cso, the file size is slightly larger then .gzip but they play instantly and i dont need to have that long initial load up as pcsx2 builds the database and also saves from having all the database files mixed in with the roms

Sounds good . Mine were all zip files not gzip.  Can PowerArchiver handle it?

I need rename the files too.

Don's renamer tools can handle that, but like gigapig said, if you could move that to Gzip, would be a great move.

Thank you I will try Don renamer , instead of tur matcher .

Thank you for your suggestion.

Do I need to first rename with don tools & second unzip the files before covering to cso?

Can you provide me details of maxcso where can I download from.

I will give a shot to both gzip and maxcso  to compare.

Not sure if I got it from the downloads section here or elsewhere, but it's easy to use.

It will help if ur roms are already named correctly and unzipped iso. Then just drag either one at a time or as many as u want on top of the maxcso.exe and a cmd box will open up automatically showing which rom it's working on, % completed and % of original size.

When it's finished you will have both the original .iso and the new .cso named exactly like the original side by side, just test n see if it works (haven't had a failed .cso myself) and delete the original .iso

Thank you but I will require a lot space before trying it.
