Well have done some tinkering..

I thought this might be neat this morning when I woke up and now its a thang.

I love Hyperspin, and people say its hard to configure/setup. Pffft.

 

Now Complete. With All needed in the download to get Grooving today.

Preview 2 - With some Rainmeter Skins in Place - Drawing info from Windows Media Player.

So I think we need to launch Your media player of choice, or at least a playlist file. Also loading Rainmeter with your prefered Skins Enabled, setup and set to always ontop.

With this skin you can change the font to your own preference and change the colours of the VU Bars.

I will include some other variants of VU for people to choice their favorite.

Is there a way I can have Hyperspin run an exe directly from main menu without the cmd window coming up?

Also does anyone know how to enable mouse? Would I have to setup Rocket Launcher/Hyperlaunch to run scripted perhaps?

Any help highly appreciated.

Yeah I was thinking that, maybe set it up with pclauncher and have it launch a batch file that runs a playlist and Rainmeter.

Then create a button within rainmeter that task-kills both rainmeter itself and the media players if running.

More tinkering required.

If any one with animation/graphics skills out there wants to create some Rainmeter skins, it seems to accept .swf formats for animation etc.

I Would love a "Now playing" Neon Sign that lights up and A clock that looks the same as on the wall.

If no one bites as always I will attempt it myself.

Well did some tinkering and can get a batch to load wmplayer and rainmeter, but wmp is not loading /min for some reason and need to click back on Hyperspin to hide it.

Some more changes to the design also. Still need to remove the light completely and re-colour the top of the window.

Added a button to close the player/rainmeter and return to HS, works well just need to find/make a better button.

Gonna tweak/add more visualizations, the clock and system info etc, then try and create a Rainmeter theme and for this and add the font also if wanted.

Also no sure about using the BL Layer and might change back to layer 1 for the BG to hide the wheel.

Ok thinking this is looking pretty nice. Seems to run ok but still wmplayer comes up, might try winamp or another player thats plugin ready.

Edit: Dont worry about the CPU/Memory Usage etc, I am doing sooo much at once with my poor computer.

Gonna try some Album art variants and see how it goes, also alternate system info's.

Someone told me once "A video is worth lots and lots of pictures.." 

Hope you are liking it so far, pretty close to an Initial release and setup guide.

Edit: Changed the song and also in the video show you editing Rainmeter on the fly.

Still Need to find a way to have cursor be available and also auto hide media player.

Its possible to add in More Rainmeter skins and images to and 2nd and 3rd Screen like Hypermaquee. Lots of other skins that display album art, VU's and song information also.

If anyone wants to do some research/work into a plugin to interact/control Led Lights?? Let me know. 

No real use for me but would be awesome to have lights "Sync" with LED's on cabinets and controller buttons etc. 

Also anyone skilled in Video/Image editing if you want to help make make the background video better, add better Neons/images etc please jump on-board.

Also I would love to make it load a nice repeating version in the black window background at the timestamp of the link below..

So.. I am happy with it so far, but still feel it needs some loving.

I fixed the video background so it includes the overlay... which works well.

However.. If I set it to background the wheel overlays the man on the right and the screen which I don't like.

If I set it too Layer 1 it goes over the wheel, which I can live with. However if I add a fade, blur or animation the SWF itself seems to show the background and then the layer coming in over time.. not sure why.

What I would ideally love is the man on the right to be sliced and added as Layer 2 and the wheel showing behind him.. But it also then shows over the screen then so not sure overall how to resolve it.

Maybe try a whole new scene and start a fresh..

Have you had any luck finding a player which won't pop up? Having to click with a mouse would be a deal killer in my cab.

The overlay can only interact with a certain number of players..but only yet to try with Windows Media Player.

Also not sure if there is a way to interact with the overlay without a mouse, you maybe able to "tab" around the controls.. but that would be very clunky..

Maybe able to use a lightgun as a mouse? Like a Wii Remote?
