Setup problem with Trackball and Spinner

Hello there,

I hope, I'm right here with my problem. I'm fresh to the arcade scene, build my first own arcade now from the scratch, having some trouble with my controls now.

As the title already telling you, I'm trying to run a trackball AND a spinner simultanously. But it doesn't work. 

Setup is an Ultimarc U-Trak Trackball and SpinTrak Spinner, both connected to iPac 2 board directly. Other buttons/joystick are connected, too and running fine.

Under Windows I can use Spinner and Trackball, mouse pointer is moving around with no problem. So the hardware works.

When I start configuration in HyperSpin, I can only activate/check one of both devices - only Trackball or only Spinner, but not both simultanously. 

When one of both components is active, my HS is spinning around withough any control. Pressing the arrows on the keyboard stops the wheel. So the only way starting HS right now is for me to deactivate both trackball/spinner in the configuration. 

 

Have someone please a tutorial or hints for me configuring both trackball/spinner the right way?

Did you enable mouse input in ini settings for both devices and another multimouse? NVM, you specifically asking to control Hyperspin (with both devices?) Not MAME.

Plain and simple, it does not work and probably never has,  you will have to use you joystick to control the wheel.

Yep,  joystick only for the hyperspin wheel  

Some versions of mame also won’t work with multiple mice input.... even with multiple mice enabled in the ini file.  The mame version has to be either direct input or raw input but can’t remember which one?

Ha, Hyperspin works for me just fine with joystick and spinner, but not with Trackball. However I can never get it to scroll one at a time, usually it skips one or two selections.

Thanks guys.... That's the point. It doesn't work in HyperSpin, only directly in the Emu... Must find time to set it up correctly. If someone can point me to the MAME version, which works with both of the controls...
