Atari 2600 2D

Quality wise they look alright to me, that white border around the label needs to go though. But they have some issues like having a big chunk of the label cut at both top/bottom and left/right sides, this is particularly noticeable in the Holiday cart, not sure why you'd do that?

Also not sure where you are getting your scans form, but you have better quality scans here:

http://atariage.com/cart_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=2745

I'd use atariage as the main resource for the artwork on this one.

Looks like a bezel effect was added which is fine if you want to make something look plastic or stick out more. Doesn't work for these though since the covers are paper. I can see what you were aiming for because the sticker labels have a slight bump around the edges, so maybe try a little bit of inner glow or shadows.

Ok guys going to start again on these, will loose the border(raised edge) and study the real carts before making. This will take some time guys and girls, so if anyone wants to help PM me. Thanks for you input guys and advice and I'll give this a go.

All high definition artwork is more than welcome so if you can provide it please do! Especially for homebrew/proto stuff since they usually can be harder to get.

Create a folder under your name in the FTP and put it there. Format doesn't really matter, as for the size the higher resolution the better, but anything over 600dpi would be overkill for our purposes here. 300dpi for something like this should be more than enough.

Just out of curiosity did you create artwork for any other Atari carts/boxes?

I've done a fair amount of stuff for AtariAge. Here's a link to a store seach of =Y&s[short_desc]=Y&s[full_desc]=Y&s[sku]=Y&s[match]=all&s[cid]=0&s[search]=exton"]just my stuff.

I think the thing I'm most proud of was doing the box art, label and manual for the (hugely late) release of Howard Scott Warshaw's 'Saboteur'. I've got a nice signed copy at home!

When I get a chance I'll upload 300 dpi cart labels to the ftp. Do you guys need the end labels and manuals too?

Nice, we can definitely use several of those. The Saboteur boxart looks pretty cool indeed, so does the 5200 Tempest for example nice work.

Yeah manuals would be very nice as well so we can add them to HyperPause, personally I'm not using end labels, but I know some of guys like to use them as wheel art.

OK, I'll get the label art cropped to 300dpi and I'll set up a ftp folder on Hyperspin. Gimme a couple of days. Manuals I can also do, but that'll take a little longer.

Hallo!

Righty. Every cart label I have on my hard drive is on Hyperspin's ftp - folder 'Liveinabin'

I lost a load of stuff in a stupid hard drive crash a while back but I still have bits and pieces (ie. no Saboteur cart, but I do have the box).

I'm annoyed I can't find that Holiday Cart (top of page). One disgruntled AA forum member described it as 'some woman dry humping an Atari'. Lovely :)

You're very welcome. I'll keep looking :) I have the manuals for most of these as well. Bit more work (not least as they're page ordered for print rather than for reading) but if you need them, or the logos or the end labels, just tell me what format and how big :)

The manuals would definitely be great to have. Format doesn't really matter, whatever is easier for you, same quality as the carts would be fine.

Do you happen to have the artwork for the 5200 Tempest and Sinistar boxes btw?
