updating mame to 0.117

hi guys can u help me, it been a while since setting up hyperspin and gonna do a new build. i just downloaded gigapigs hyperspin build. and would like to update it to the latest mame 0.117 i just downloaded the latest no nag arcade64 exe and put it in mame folder, i now get this when i go to launch game (see pic)

do i need to download a full fresh copy of mame 0.117 and add the no exe. also i am looking for the xml database file for mame 0.117 (ie no casino clone etc)

I think you mean .217???

Also, you should only update to this if you have this romset... using an older set will yield mixed results.

When you do get matching romset and mame version, yes get an official mame release and overwrite with the no-nag exe.

Finally you can find an "xml mame list generator" in the downloads section here.

I would also add that the ini files may have changed somewhat so it might be a good idea to start a new one and transfer any settings across. One day I will get round to updating those builds.

The error you are getting may relate to the Hiscore plugin.

You could also try the standard version of MAME instead of Arcade64.

thanks guys ,yes i mean .217 and i have the new rom set to go with it,i will download the latest one and replace the exe with the no nag. thanks

one other thing is i am running on a 4k samsaung tv, what i settings would you recomened to get best picture qaulity. for hyperspin and mame thanks
