Uploaded PS3 Media Pack and Database

I been working hard the last few months making a collection of 1259 PS3 Wheels and Video Snaps for games that are currently fully playable with RPCS3 (PS3 Disc and PSN games).

I just uploaded all my efforts so far: (Wheels, Themes, Video Snaps, Database).  I don't know if that's acceptable now but its how I did it back in the day.

I hope it can inspire the community here to improve and expand on the PS3 wheel.

Things I would like improved:

- replacing the low res covers.  I made all of them 320 pixels wide but many were less than originally

- I really should have converted the video snaps to a common size but system theme displays them all the same size

- Create system Pointer and Letters

- My biggest frustration is the bloated Database I was expanding on.  I would like to get rid of the long synopsis. Its making it difficult to go through and correct and update the genre info.

 My priority now is to fix the genre info and create an accurate set of genre xmls

You can get rid of the synopsis tags in notepad++

use the following first to get rid of leading and trailing spaces

then in "search\replace" or ctrl+f:

<synopsis>.*?</synopsis> in the replace field, in "replace with" leave blank, check "regular expression" like below.

there will be empty lines after you hit "replace all", then use:

That worked! I was able to remove synopsis and score.  I did loose the tab indentation for everything within <game name> </game>.

It really helps break up the info visually.  Not a huge deal but is it easily corrected?

Yeah, you can basically remove any tag within the above instructions.
Can you share the database so I can take a look into it?
I believe you got it from the downloads section, they're bad but that's what we have for now, right?

Yes, I would appreciate the help but, right now I am going over every entry and fixing the genre info. I'm up to the letter "G" and powering through it as fast as I can.

I remember it had some missing games, you'll probably find those as you go and add it to the db, I added this system recently along with Xbox and Xbox 360, but it's not a full db, I only added those that aren't on PC, etc and noticed a few missing.

I only added what was fully playable in RPCS3 and not in the database. It was a lot and I know there are still more unplayable titles to add. Hopefully I can get help with that.

I've currently fixed genre info up to letter "K" and I need a sanity break.  I'll finish it in the next day or two and share my progress.

Well its 3am and it took me all day (and night) but I went through the database and updated and corrected every genre entry.

I updated the files in my media pack.

The database might not be 100% but its close and much more usable than it was.
