Bluestacks app help

Hey everyone,

Wasn't sure where to look for help with this one, as I didn't find much on google. I recently got BlueStacks up and running on my PC and hyperspin. I downloaded Fruit Ninja to test it out, and it works great. I downloaded Chaos Rings from the store, and when I attempt to launch it, a box in the top right says it is "Preparing to use App", cycles through a few things, and then closes. Does anyone have any experience with apps that are a bit stubborn on BlueStacks? I know some just won't work, but I read at least one other place that mentioned the game Chaos Rings does work.

Any and all tips and help is appreciated

This was one of those on my to do lists. I was going to include a few games but I never got around to it. I did however dabble with the blustacks setup.

Form what I remember. I noticed that it runs better when you have the actual game and not downloading it from the Android store or through the app. Once I played one game it did not like me escaping out of it and running another straight after. I had to escape all the way out of it and then load it from scratch. It seems to keep the old game or program running and it confilcts with any new loads you make. (take a look in task manager)

This was a fair few months ago now, so I could be wrong or it could have been updated. If you do solve anything let me know as I would like to add a few games on here too!

I would like to also find a wheel already named to the apps if anyone has made any? In fact any art etc would be appreciated before I tackle this one :D

Hope this helpd ;)

I set up about 10 games using bluestacks. I used the app icons for wheel art, used don's "create new hyperlist" program to generate my xml (I pointed it at the folder mentioned in the module notes). I downloaded my videos using flash video downloader. The videos and app icons I got from the google play website. I did need to manually rename the videos and icons to match my xml names.

Bluestacks doesn't like some apps so be happy when it works and sad when it doesn't. Just remember it is still under development.

I appreciate the replies. I think what got me was I read in a couple places that Chaos Rings worked on PC so that got my hopes. I have a thread open with BlueStacks support, if they provide any info I'll be sure to pass it on here.

Make sure virtualization is enabled on your  CPU's BIOS, had the same issue and switched on virtualization, worked like a charm.

This is because of the way Bluestacks loads apps. Bluestacks is actually running a self-contained Virtual Machine with Android, so it's always running in the background so long as the Bluestacks Loader is running. This can lead to some pretty serious slow-down on your other emulators if you aren't careful.

The best way to run BlueStacks is to set it up as an executable on your Main Menu wheel. Then, in BlueStacks install a Launcher, or Home Screen Replacement. There are several to choose from, and it will make BlueStacks launch into a full Android desktop environment, complete with dock buttons at the bottom and an App Drawer. Much better than the native BlueStacks environment. There are even Launchers for android that give you an HTPC-style ten-foot display that works great for a cabinet setup. Also, consider buying the full version of BlueStacks, as it will install unwanted apps otherwise.

Is there a launcher you'd recommend? I installed nova which pretty much just looks like stock android.

Except blue stack any other alternatives?

I have been using Andy android emulator but not in hyperspin. Compare with bluestack is far more better.

I got drastic to run on it, but the only game I tried was Castlevaina, but it worked allot better than desmume,  But that only worked on my laptop for some reason

It would not work on my PC!
