You normally set controls in demul and then transfer them to the Demul ini so you can have different control setup for different games.

Check out my video guide for more fun filled advice.

Bumping this thread hoping giga or someone can point me

To a tutorial for demul setup into hyperspin. This has been a tough one for me and searching youtube and here hoping for a tutorial has been not successful.

If anybody has anything please share, I will keep searching this forum for answers for a clean setup.

Cheers!!

You searched youtube? Did you read my post above?

Watch the Sammy Atomiswave guide, it's for Demul 0.58 but that doesn't matter.

Hey giga

Thanks for your help. I've been following your video.

When I'm follow your setup guide and go to run dreamcast rom I get:

Unable to find "dc101d_us.bin in romset dc"

What file is this missing? I've got a perfect set from pleasuredome.

I'm guessing it's a bios issue,

I looked inside and the bios file I had and unzipped into the rom folder is labelled different , all as "DC - BIOS. Bin"

"DC - BIOS(all).BIN"

Plus a few others such as flash but they all start with DC. I'm guessing that's the problem?!

You'll need to either set the path to the bios or drop it into to where you specified. As you can see my dc.zip bios resides in with my Demul Roms.

Yup the path is right, I think I just don't have the correct bios. Is there somewhere where the correct bios can be found?

I've tried a few, and they are all different names, I obviously don't have the right set

Alright I've got dreamcast up, able

To launch it, able to get through hyperlanchHQ.

But my romset is in 7z format. It's not supported. Is there a quick way to rename this romset or do I have to use clrmame and go through the whole set

It doesn't matter if it's 7z, if your getting an error because of the extension you'll need to add it to the global emulator.

Maybe I'll throw in the towel for

Now and try nulldc and see if I get along better with it.

I've setup 14 systems in hyperspin so I know how where the file extensions need to be... Searching my brain what's not communicating in the program

Thanks for your help as always giga

I think I've found the problem, when I do my game audit everything shows up fine, then launch it in hyperlaunchhq, it says "7z is not supported in this module"

I've tried demul 0.5.8 as well and still getting this. Is there an updated module?

Gotcha

Guess I'm sol now, git has never worked for me, I've always gotten a "could not exit cleanly" when doing it. I'll keep tinkering but that's obviously the issue

Doing it that way I'm guessing d/lb those files and replace the ones I'm currently using?

Git has always been a pain in the arse
