Taito X2 emulator joystick support

Hallo,

I would like to setup the Taito X2 emulator with the use of usb-joystick(s).

I use ArcadePc loader 1.4 to start the games wich does work without any problem.

I like to configure the joystickbuttons into the game using the "pad-config.exe" provided with the emulator.

Now, it seems that you can only assign keyboard buttons into the gamecontrol settings.

Is there any option where you can use a (standard)-usb-joystick instead of the keyboard buttons.

I have seen someone suggested x-padder, but i don't know how to use it and/or to combine this into the hyperspin emulator module.

I use hyperspin 2 with sepperate modules for each emulator.

I would much appreciate if someone can point me out how to combine x-padder (if this works with usb-joysticks) with hyperspin.

A link to a good tutorial would also be a good help.

I'm not sure what to suggest as your running an old version of Hyperspin and Hyperlaunch, but I'm sure you can use xpadder none the less. You will need it for Taito Type X as there is a bug with the config so you can't enter the inputs.

i am gona look into it. I think the version of hyperspin doesnt matter imo, and i am a bit used to version 2 of hyperspin.

I'll post my findings here for further use when all works.

OK,

I have installed Hyperlaunch HQ 3.

Configured some basic settings like for use with MAME

Wheel and game starts with no problem.

Only thing i CAN NOT do is assing the ESCAPE key into MAME

If i revert back to Hyperlaunch 2, then there is not a problem to assign the escape key into MAME settings (UI CANCEL)

Looking further to test with RL.

I am actually having two issues with Taito Type X. One I posted in another thread and a bigger issue I am having now is, after setting pad_config.exe for games that support it with my Xbox 360 wired usb controller, It doesn't respond in game. How do I remedy this? gigapig I watched your tutorial and have gotten six games to work so far but I can't control any of them with my xbox 360 controller. I also watched your excellent TTX tutorial on youtube and followed everything verbatim but yet no luck. I even copied and pasted the pad.config and typex_bindings.bin you personally set up from inside your FTP folder, no go... Any help or solution to this matter would be great and thank you in advance.

Can you remap the keys to the keyboard and then control the game from the keyboard? If so you may need to use xpadder.

Hi, open pad_config.exe in each Game to setup controll! But is easy to use Xpadder config. All Game use the same controlls only Arcana Heart 3 have other mappings.

That's exactly what I did. I ended up using xpadder. I was able to map the controls with my Xbox controller they just didn't register at all in game. I also made sure Bluetooth adapter was turned off. Thanks guys.

Edit: How do you map two separate black Xbox 360 USB controllers in HLHQ for Taito Type X? When I tried to do the mapped controller only worked for one even when I selected the proper port. I am completely befuddled on this. trying to play with my son but I may not be able to now. Thanks in advance.
