craiganderson
http://segaretro.org/Super_Control_Station_SF-7000 I have ten games or so for this. They are all .bin. MESS says it supports this system/add on but not .bin as far as I can tell. Anybody know if there are other versions of the games? Or an emulator that can play the .bin....? thanks -craig
Aorin
Well, as you help me with the amiga Whdload I'll try to help you with this one, I don't know much of this system yet, I made a quick research and found one forum where somebody successfully emulated this system and in SC-3000 Survivors I found this: "This emulator was written starting from the base of Mame to emulate all microcomputer system. So if you are familiar with Mame you will find this interesting. It is in continuous development so it's frequently updated. It emulates almost every SC-3000 software with expansion devices. Floppy emulation let you use SAVE Basic programs on SF7 image disk, and Tape emulation let you LOAD perfectly Wav Tape dumps ( if well sampled ), and save Basic programs on Wave files. Actually in Subversion page is available a work in progress version which emulater Centronics port on SF-7000 Emulation. This means that you can print Basic listing and Stings to a text file mounted. Plotter Sp-400 has to been implemented yet. A very good emulator that will give you hours of fun experiencing our friend SEGA SC-3000!"
floatingyeti
are there exclusive games for sf-7000? I thought it just played the sc-3000 library. At least that what I concluded when working on the sf-3000 wheel.

At least that what I concluded when working on the sf-3000 wheel. You could be right. I was just looking around. I got excited because TOSEC has it as a separate download. Here are the games in the tosec download. I do not think they are in the .xml for sc-3000 that you have in your ftp...??? brolly
are there exclusive games for sf-7000? I thought it just played the sc-3000 library. At least that what I concluded when working on the sf-3000 wheel. SF-7000 is an add-on for SC-3000, it has a floppy drive so yeah it has some exclusive disk based games. It still needs a SC-3000 to work though. blueMSX also emulates this system, not sure what format you're talking about so have no idea if it supports it or not. Worth a shot though. craiganderson
Craig, take a look at that http://www.smspower.org/meka/You need mess to emulate SF-7000 or can it be other emulator? but unfortunately MESS cannot load .bin FILES it loads many types but not .bin

brolly
Just checked the CRC of a couple of TOSEC roms and they match the ones from MESS softlists so the format is supported by MESS. Are you sure you know how to start the games? Because as far as I remember you need to type some commands in order to run them. Can't remember which off the blue. brolly
What do you mean not accepted? Are you using MESSUI or something? Just run it through command line.
craiganderson
Yes messui. And when one attempts to open a file via disk or cassette....that file extension is not included in the long long list of accepted file extensions. I hope I explained that clearly. Thanks for the help.
brolly
MESSUI is pointless it will only add more restrictions than needed, you should use the command line instead to load the games.
craiganderson
I use jumpstiles mess with the module and messgui when outside of hyperspin.
