nguerra Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Has anyone else had this problem? No mater what ROM set I use, I can't seem to get Don's Rom Re-namer to match the CRC in the 7800 XML file. I've tried like 10 different Ace of Aces and I still can't find a match. Is the CRC in the XML correct?

iNTiGOD Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 You could try using fatmatch which is in the downloads section. Normally it's used for renaming artwork. I've used it to rename my roms in cases where my wheel artwork is named correctly. When it asks for you rom folder point it to your wheel folder, and when it asks for your art folder point it to your wheels. It's like your running the program in reverse. Yes, I could... but that not only defeats the purpose of the tool, but also doesn't match crc's which is why I assume it's not matching in the first place. iNTiGOD, I'll give that a shot if I can't find a better solution... thank you.

Although if I am having problems with the Atari consoles I hate to see when I get to the big boys. I also am having a problem with every rom set download I try. Running Don's will not match 30 games. Which isn't bad except from what I can tell Atari 7800 only had like 78? haha I am hoping craiganderson is reading this and can help me out as well? Thank you!
thatman84 Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Give the search term "Hyperspin ready" a try. Thats as much as is allowed to be said really. Also if you games have wierd naming tags [!] Then try a program like bulk renamer to remove them before running Don's tools. With dons also the crc tickbox is great on 1st pass but generally for older systems crc is not needed. 32assassin Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 the hyperspin XMLs where built with the No-Intro rom sets, if you want to use CRC to rename your roms download NO-Intro rom sets. if their is no N0-Intro rom set then don't bother using CRCs to rename your roms. this include ALL Arcade rom sets , DIsc based systems, you will find a few console systems such as the NDS,(No intro included allot of bad dumps in their database) as mentioned google hyperspin ready sets or roms + Pleasure (and become a member to the site) you will find everything you need.
