The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Thanks for the explanation, so, basically there's no difference from 1.3.2 to 1.3.3 that I should bother, right?

The only thing that changed in this one was what launcher was included in the install nothing else

I've updated all my software and Hyperlaunch (RockerLauncher) won't open and it comes up with an error saying error loading the hyper launch.dll. I have no clue what is going on and any help would be amazing.

Is there any need/benefits to update to RocketLaunch?

I've updated my Hyperspin to the latest beta & changed the path in the settings.ini. Everything seems to be working great still. I just don't want to bother changing to RocketLauncher if it's not essential.

Thanks in advance

I'm wondering myself. Especially with the posts I've seen about upgrading and their PC games quit working.

On the other hand maybe I should deal with it now before I re-add Daphne, Taito, SNES etc...

If everything on your end is working then no, enjoy what you have created. However if you keep updating via GIT then i don't think you'll be able to keep up to date.

If you get problems in the future and you ask for help then you'll probably be required to update and RocketLauncher won't be supported.

When you updated did you have many things break that then had to be fixed? Especially your PC game/Taito wheels? (why do you run 2 PC wheels anyway?)

I think I'm going to wait until 1.4 is solid and an actual stable release then upgrade both it and RL.

Hi, i'm new to HyperSpin and I realized that the link for "Follow a guide to install the software" is broken and that the youtube video guide is different than 1.3.3. Is there an updated guide to follow?

Thanks everyone.

Where can I find more info about Rocket Launcher? Just for my own knowledge.

I'm using Hyper Launch in my HS installation so there's no point in updating as I have read in this thread.

Thanks for making clear the update issue.

The Rocketlauncher/HyperLaunchHQ website is www.rlauncher.com

At least on the RocketLauncher side of things I wouldn't say that.

There were more than one thousand code line changes since the hyperlaunch days.

More stability, a huge amount of bugs fixed, more features included, less memory use, easier automatic update built-in, and a much better support structure if you use RocketLauncher.

Just my two cents.

So would this be the guide to follow if you are starting from scratch? Haven't been successful with other walk throughs and I notice most of them are like 2~3 months old.

Sure, but this thread is for the old version. You should be using the latest versions and tutorials/instructions:

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2187-how-to-install-hyperspin/

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/10973-hyperspin-version-14-released-for-all/

The old version is still valid it has bugs yes but so does 1.4, (I still want Hyperspeech fixed.) This thread needs a tweak and as long as 1.3.3 is available to download then this thread will stay.
