Themes not saving

Recommended Posts

Well after recommendation here, I just tried Hypertheme to make simple themes for the games I couldn't find any for.  I read the manual & figured it out pretty quick....but...3 out of the 4 I made that were "successfully saved" weren't saved anywhere. Only 1 theme that I made using it showed up in the MAME theme folder as a zip afterwards , but then that one didn't even show when I selected the corresponding game on the wheel! <SIGH> The last 3 themes I created looked fine inside Hypertheme & claimed to save successfully but were nowhere to be found...I just don't get it..And in the Hypertheme manual it says to "make sure the zip option is checked" when saving but for some reason the option it shows in the picture is not even there ...it shows 2 checkboxes below "Output Options" , one says "Zip" & one says "Folders" That whole part is missing from my tab in Hypertheme

Where did you find an instruction manual for Hypertheme? I looked and couldn't find anything on it.

Under the Setting icon within Hypertheme did you set your destination path for themes? Mine wouldn't work because I was missing a 7az file within the Hypertheme folder. Maybe you're missing something too.

Have you checked in Hyperspin\HyperTheme\MyThemes ?

Ahhh thanks!....that was it,I was sure I saw it say that Hypertheme would save the theme in the main Hyperspin theme folder...thing that really threw me off was it looked like one of them did go into that folder, but turns out it was a theme I tried to make by zipping a  .XML + image someone suggested which I could never get right...

there was a PDF Hypertheme manual with step by step instructions inside the Hypertheme folder . If you don't see one & want it let me know & I'll make you a link for it....
