Supermodel / Sega Model 3

I have gotten everything to work fairly well. The main issue I am having occurs in Star Wars Trilogy. The game has a well known bug which requires you to wait until Vader appears before you start a game. The issue is that the NVRAM keeps saving with credits in the machine and therefore when you start the emulator a second time it skips right to the stage select screen and the game will not work.

Does anyone have a solution to this? The only thing I can think of is to modify the HL script to delete the NVRAM after exit or before the emulator is opened.

I am using djvj's HL 2.0 script.

thanks

bump + hopefully an easier issue.

I spoke to soon on the emulator working 100%. Controls work from a CLI and when using HL. But if I launch from hyperspin none of my controls work. Does anyone know a solution to this?

I have the ahk set to rawinput and control config to false. When I set to true I can configure fine and all inputs appear in the correct ini.

In HyperHQ I have execution set to normal.

I am totally lost on this. If the ini works fine from a CLI and I have execution set to normal why would this not work?

Any ideas?

Did you figure out a fix for this? I'm having the same issue. Thanks.

Not to be a pain but could you maybe give a brief overview of how you got it working correctly and maybe what version of the emulator you are using? All my controls work outside of HL and HS but do not work in the Front End. I configured the inputs using -config-inputs via the CL using Supermodel.exe. Do you have to run -config-inputs via the super model module (i.e. a second time) to get the controls working within HS? Once the inputs are configured, are they stored in a global file somewhere within the hyperspin\modules folder? I keep seeing references to a settings file on the ftp, but no file exists anymore. I'm assuming it was rolled into the newest RL release? This is the last emulator I need to get working so any help would be appreciated.

I use this version Supermodel3 r270 64bit.rar

I have the controls configured in the Supermodel.ini inside the Config folder, hope this helps.

Thanks a lot. I just DLed that version today for testing. I'm willing to bet I'm missing something so obvious as it seems only I ( and one other person) have this problem ;) . Out of curiosity do you have hyperlaunch enabled or disabled in hyperspinHQ for the Super Model 3 wheel?

One last thing. I need to enable raw input for dual aimtrack guns in The Lost World. All I have to do is change the line in the supermodel.ahk to

inputSystem := IniReadCheck(settingsFile, "Settings", "inputSystem","rawinput",,1) or do I have to add a rawiput=1 line in the settings.ini of the Super Model 3 folder? That was the last thing that was confusing me.

Just wanted to confirm all is working now :D !Finally I can concentrate on playing. For future reference I believe setting input mode to "rawinput" (they way I configured in supermodel) did the trick. Gotta stop working on these things late at night ;) Thanks again !

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but Im still having issues with the lostworld controls via rawinput in the supermodel.ahk. I replaced it in the proper spot as mentioned by ArcadiusMaximus but I still encounter the same issues. Still not able to move cursors with mouse. Any ideas?

No, I wasnt able to fix it yet. The star wars trilogy game works just fine through hyperspin while using my aimtrak light gun, however im not able to get the light gun controls working on "The Lost World". Both games work fine with the aimtrak light gun outside of hyperspin, but within hyperspin, only the star wars trilogy controls work.

Is there a way to play the Star Wars Trilogy game without a lightgun? It seems the regular directional controls don't move the crosshair on the screen... do I need a lightgun?

It works fine for me with a mouse.

Yes you can use a mouse as well or even the directional buttons. With that said, even though I cant move the cross hairs with my lightgun in lost world, I am able to move the crosshairs with my directional buttons on my keyboard even though rawinput is enabled. Any ideas?

Bluehawk, post both of your supermodel.ini files here. There is one inside hyperlaunch/modules/supermodel.

And one inside the emulators config folder itself.
