hermano Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 hehe, yeah, what a frickin nightmare it is compared to the pen tool. I have been enlightened!!
THK Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 All those regular selection tools are more for edits, not for cutting out artwork properly. Also take in mind that with some pen-tool skills it will become a possibility to simply redraw crappy source artwork. I still use the magic wand though, but mainly with hi-res artwork on a solid a background (even then often resize it to 400% before starting for a smoother result in the end, then clean up with Refine Selection, selection tools for further refinement, Inner Shadow with outlined artwork, Remove Matte for white/black glow/pixels residue, adding hard parts like complex hair separately) ..........................back with a vengeance........................

These videos are priceless to me. I think I'm gonna have to get back into my Photoshop and see what I can do about making some themes. Hey, I might even get better than you!! ya right HyperLaunch | HyperWiki | HyperSearch | Intro | Evolution | FadeProject | Checker | Steam Wheel

THK Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 Nice! I shall get my practice on Be careful with shadows, we like to keep our wheels original & flat (unless the original logo has a drop shadow of course or to make flat white wheels stand out on a white background) And don't overdo it in themes. ..........................back with a vengeance........................

Retro Goonie Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 For some reason my 'Alt' key has decided to break on my laptop and the second Alt key doesn't seem to work in the same way so i'm unable to use the pen tool to its full potential!!! Does anyone know if it's possible to edit Photoshop's settings to assign the role of the 'Alt' key to a different key on my laptops keyboard? I'm using Photoshop CS5 Extended v12.0 x32 if that makes a difference?! My Artwork!
