The crc's of the missing ones from the database dont seeem match the ones from gamebase.

Not every game was sourced from GameBase, just most of them....

Thanks everyone. We're getting closer.

 

I removed "Helistad (Europe)" since it was apparently wrong. Need to find a replacement.

 

Found:

Cowboy Duel - Live Your Dream! (Europe) (Disk 1) (Unl)

Runners - Greenrunner, Redrunner, Retroskoi+ (Europe) (Unl)

On FTP, moved into folder "Wrong in XML":

Shoot 'Em up Destruction Set (Europe) (Disk 1 Side A)   - (Renamed correctly)

Shoot 'Em up Destruction Set (Europe) (Disk 1 Side B)   - (Renamed correctly)

Single Extreme Freedom (USA) (Disk 1 Side A)

Single Extreme Freedom (USA) (Disk 1 Side B)

 

So  missing right now is

Helistad (Europe) - Just need to find it.

Shoot 'Em up Destruction Set (Europe) (Unl) - Either find the one disk version that the XML wants or change the XML to use the 2 disk version from the "Wrong in XML" folder.

 

Single Extreme Freedom (Hungary) (Disk 1 Side A) - Find this particular 4 disk Hungary version or change the XML to use the 2 disk USA version in the "Wrong in XML" folder.

Single Extreme Freedom (Hungary) (Disk 1 Side B)

Single Extreme Freedom (Hungary) (Disk 2 Side A)

I do this all the time. Check the version .info file in the zip it generally tells you what is what. If it has multiple versions.

In the "/Commodore 64/Roms for offical XML" folder. If your're using FlashFXP, press F5 to refresh (local dir cache is enabled by default).

Oh that stuff is matched up afaik. ;)

Ftp is not current for anything. Check post 1 on that thread as it was all matched up so I submitted stuff to emumovies and keep the wheels updated on the download section on the website. :)

Oh, neat. Is it just me that can't log on to the HS FTP then? Says my password is wrong but I have not changed it.

I don't use it. See post 1 on my unofficial c64 thread for the latest.

Thanks! Derailing the thread a bit but its because I was changed to App Developer that I can no longer access the FTP or HyperSync. Support Issue ... issued !

 

Got the wheels from the download section at least =)

I accidentally permanently deleted (remote connection acting up) all the roms I had, and downloading them 1 by 1 from your FTP seems to take ages!

I would (and maybe others) really appreciate if you could.

 

Another note for Dougan,

Where exactly can I find all your matching wheels? I looked for the said post #1, but cannot locate it. :( OK I do have my noob moments! lol

 

Again everyone, thanks a million for all the hard work. I didn't think the thread I started with a simple question would end up so far. Happily surprised!

I got the GameBase64 v13 set, and matched it almost flawlessly using Don's Rom Renamer, as the XML included CRC's to make thing easier. Only missing 316 games, and I doubt I'll bother fetching them, since with 7920 games I feel I'm sitting pretty right now. Still working on gathering more artwork, going through Dougan's FTP folder, there seems to be quite a few thing available there that HyperSync does not have. This is also awesome!

I've gotten the set from GameBase64 too and ended only with 216 missing. I agreed that with that amount of found ROMs would make those missing ones seemed minute in comparison :)

Thanks a million for this Turranius!

 

FYI, I am currently trying to mix and match different wheel sets, and hopefully will end up matching even more.

Basically I downloaded your wheels from your FTP, as well as Dougan's set of wheels from here, and finally synced my empty C64 HyperSpin wheel folder with HyperSync against the official XML.

Yours has 2486 wheels, Dougan's has 2444, and HyperSync gives me 2402. Then when I append them together, I notice that each has  few unique files in them, so all three combined add up to 2607 wheels altogether.

Then when I inspect these for matching using Don's List Generator and filtering out the games without wheels, I end up with 2458 matching png's.

 I tried using Don's Rom Renamer tools to match the remainder, I had hoped for all of them, turn out it matches the same amount, 2458.

Now I am in the process of doing the same operation using your TurMatcher app, which takes a very long time to run, and hopefully, I will get most if not all the 2607 wheels from the combined sets tp match up.

 

Maybe this is all in vain, and a waste of time, but meh! I am enjoying this stuff!! :-D

Excellent =) Yeah, Tur-Matcher with an ~8000 games XML will take a long time, but be patient.

 

I noticed the official XML has a lot of ' signs in it. I filter that out as well in Tur-Matcher 1.4 (yet unreleased) but I can put a beta of it on the FTP if you want it. It helps.

i have sorted out 0-9 - to A-S for commodore 64 game wheels dougans set so it matches the offcial c64 xml
