  1. LEDBlinky is not functioning in HyperSpin / HyperHQ. LEDBlinky.log shows "Missing input parameter: Emulator Name."
  2. Fresh install of hyperspin/hyperhq (after deleting every folder I could find) Added MAME. After ROM location selection, HyperHQ just installs MAME. Doesn't ask if I aleady have it. Why would I have a full rom set for MAME and not have the MAME emulator already? lol Should be a question / option to install / use an existing copy of MAME.
  3. Found another one. c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\hyperhq-updater
  4. Good find. I missed the .hyperhq and .hyperspin folders in the root of my \user\ folder.
  5. I have five machines running Launchbox today. I started on HS 15+ years ago. I often move media around, playlists, themes, all sorts of stuff for various reasons, quickly and easily. (two standup arcades, one 'console' on the television, and then a daytona twin cabinet - oh and a VPin running PinUp Popper). And because there is something wrong with me, I'm actually considering building another. lol This new HyperSpin model seems to make the entire system non-portable. And goes to great lengths to accomplish that. And its even tattooing the system after I press the uninstall button. <not cool> I dumped rocketlauncher around the same time I moved to launchbox, due the fact that RL changes random stuff on your system and doesn't tell you. Pissed me off that someone was arrogant enough to assume they knew how I wanted my emulators configured. Nope!
  6. Ok, I found the 'left over' config Had to deleted the %appdata%\hyperhq folder My credentials were still cached somewhere else even after I deleted the %appdata%/hyperhq folder. So there is lingering stuff somewhere else. I'm still calling this a deal breaker at this point. I do not want my front end config stored in %appdata%. There is no logical reason for this.
  7. I uninstalled HyperHQ I deleted my HyperHQ folders on C:\ and D:\ (because of the multiple install bug) I deleted HyperSpin folder on D:\ When I reinstalled HyperHQ, it still had my login info cached, and the MAME system was still there (which I'm having problems deleting because of the auto-import rom bug) Where is the cached configuration hiding? Why can't all the configuration settings be stored alongside the app and basically be portable like every other front end system? Honestly, this is a straight deal breaker for me. When I click "uninstall" there shouldn't be any configuration left.
  8. here is .33 - https://hyperai.s3.amazonaws.com/HyperHQ_2.0.33.exe
  9. Done.
  10. If 'auto import roms' is enabled in HyperHQ, hyperhq will try to continusly import MAME roms.
  11. Awesome, thank you! I'm waiting for the HyperHQ update (forced C drive install) to be fixed before I reinstall and start kicking the tires again.
  12. The hyperhq installer (and updated) is bugged. So if you 'update' it'll auto-install on the C:\ drive, even if you originally installed it on D:\ (or where ever). They're working on a fix.
  13. So.. can't use auto-import in the current builds if you're using MAME. Got it.
  14. Oh interesting. That's a nasty bug. I just blitz my entire hyperspin install. I'm going to start over tomorrow.
  15. In HyperHQ go to plugins, and the click the reinstall button on HyperSpinCore Fixed it for me.
  16. So it looks like every video file is being duplicated. one in the \hyperspin\media\systems\<system> folder one in the \hyperspin\media\systems\~cache\<system> folder The files are the exact same size. The image files look like they might be getting duplicated too (files being the same size in both locations - so not actually caching anything), but haven't 100% confirmed this yet. My media folder is 113 GB, with approx. 50% of that in the cache folder alone.
  17. It seems to be tied to the 'auto import roms' features. I turned that off, and it stopped doing that. I've already downloaded like 113 gb of media. I would hate to have to start all over. The cache folder is ~50% of that though, even after I cleared all the cache. (I'm guessing bug?)
  18. Just updated to v2.0.32 HyperHQ moved itself back to the C:\ drive.
  19. I've got 8 systems 'setup' at this point. Hyperspin takes 50 second to 3 minutes to load. When it finally loads, if I try and rotate the main wheel up or down, after a few moves, it completely dies. I have to alt-f4 out of the program. Clear logos and themes never display. Looks like this: At first I thought maybe the trackball was overloading the 'move' buffer, so I disabled it, but that didn't make a difference. I tried clearing all the image cache, that didn't help. Tried disabling LEDBLinky too. No help. HyperSpin.exe is also consuming 3.2+ GB of memory, which seems really excessive. (my other front end with a lot more going on only uses 590mb) These are the 'systems' i have provisioned so far in HyperHQ. I'm not sure what I can provide to help debug this one, so please let me know how I can help. thanks,
  20. HyperHQ has been stuck "Processing - Adding Roms..." for 5+ hours. (I just left it on this screen while I ran some errands today, got home and it was still sitting here) Also, this "Processing" windows blocks access to clicking the ESC button behind it. (I know I can just hit the ESC key)

    Logging

What is the desire to put the logs in the %appdata%\<app name> location? What's the benefit to the user? Why not just <app install folder>/logs ? d:\hyperspin\logs & d:\hyperhq\logs for example (for me at least)

    Logging

In HyperHQ - There is an "Enable Hyperspin Logs" checkbox under HyperSpin/Display settings Is this logging for all of HyperSpin? Or just for Display related things? Feels like a really odd place for an 'enable logs' checkbox.
  23. You're getting further than I am. I click 'download' and nothing happens at all.
  24. I just noticed I have this same issue. Originally installed HyperHQ to d:\hyperspin\hyperhq\ Update to HyperHQ moved to it c:\Program Files\hyperhq\
  25. Reinstall didn't immediately fix it. However, I wait for HyperHQ to finish its download operations (which is a subject for another post), then closed HyperHQ, reopened it, and then clicked the HyperSpin button and HS now loads correctly. Maybe there was some operation queued up in the reinstall process that couldn't complete until all the download operations were completed? Anyway... back to kicking the tires.
