Hi everyone. New to the whole hyperspin. Been looking at setting up a bartop arcade for a few weeks. I was going to go down the raspberry pi and retropie route but I've changed my mind and I'm going to be using a spare laptop and hyperspin. Hopefully all will go well.

Just bought an xarcade stick with the trackball, thinking it'd be fun to play golden tee again... and then I realized I have no clue what I'm doing or how. So you'll probably see me reading a lot of forums. 42" LED Samsung Xarcade Tankstick with trackball (2 player, USB) Custom build - 16GB DDR3, Watercooled, 9800GTX, 240GB SSD, 2TB HDD Utilizing a lottery scratcher table as the base.

Just wanted to first say thanks for all the wonderful things available on this site! I'm 35 years old and grew up with the best generation (IMHO) of video games: Sega Master System, NES, Super NES, Genesis in terms of home consoles and many wonderful arcade games that took a lot of quarters out of my family's budget (Double Dragon, Shinobi, Altered Beast, Midnight Resistance, SF II, MK, Super Sidekicks, Golden Axe). Got into the emulation hobby a few years back and finished my first arcade cabinet last year, it was an amazing project in which I was able to spend quality time with my father, have plenty of laughs, a few arguments (when building something there are …

Real neat stuff you guys got here!! I took tomorrow off to begin woodworking on a Viewlix-type cabinet for 2 players standing (as opposed to the traditional 1p sitting config)... I've been into emulating on and off for QUITE a while now. i got introduced an SNES emulator by my best friends older brother (who was studying computer engineering at Purdue at the time) in about 2001 or 2002. I was in forth or fifth grade at the time I experienced Donkey Kong Country 3 on a computer and it fucking blew me away (I'm 24 yr-old now for those who don't have their calculators on hand). I'm now building a freaking sweet arcade system that will be able to play every game I've eve…

so hi. i figured id already gotten some much needed help so's i owe you guys an introduction at the very least. about me, i have a penis. im 6'1". i love canoeing, long walks on the beach, and cuddling by firelight. this one time i fell off the roof of my grade school gym blacked out and (somehow) landed on my feet (before crumpling to the ground in agony and not walking right for 2 weeks) my favorite flavor pudding is probably chocolate. my mind is very fragmented, and i find it hard to find an affordable decent looking 8 inch (or there abouts) hula girl... thats probably why i went with the mermaid (im making a lamp). about you youre awesome you already …

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself before posting any questions, concerns (as I've found an issue with my set-up, but I'll ask in the proper forum) and opinions. My name's Clifton and I'm from Missouri, in the United States. I'm looking forward to learning alot about HyperSpin, MAME and just retro gaming in general. I've been working on my set-up and I gotta say... once you start, it really pulls you in. It's an exciting piece of software! Glad to meet any of you

just want to say hi to everyone on the forum... I have just upgraded my children gaming PCs to "latest" specs which means I now have 2 core2quad machines lying about. Did a search on you tube and found "Simply Austin" channel, awesome man, learned a lot from him :-) I hope the core2quad with 8 GB RAM is enough to get me going. Interested in 8 bit machines and of course Amiga, will try to get those up and running with hyperspin first, then maybe Atari ST and consoles....
