I´m planning to do my own Cab and had to do the decision between a Jamma- and a PC-System. Because the higher flexibility with the PC-Setup, I´ll go with that and in the following with Hyperspin. Unfortunately my time is very limited (traveling a lot) and I like the building and playing more, than to fiddle around with the software. With this in mind, a Jamma-Setup is not completely of the table and I would have the benefit that I can use coins, what I really miss with a PC-Setup (or is there a USB solution?). Status at the moment? Plan is made Most materials are available Hardware available Production has already started (slowly) Software - starts more or le…

Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dave Cramer and I'm 45 years old. I have been playing games for almost 40 years and currently have around 100,000 games on my laptop spread across several different systems. I have been putting off getting and setting up Hyperspin for a long time because it looked so intimidating to set up. But every time I see HyperSpin on Youtube the desire to have it on my computer becomes stronger and stronger. Today I have taken the plunge and am all in. I am watching the videos one by one and following them step by step. It looks so incredible I am at the point now that I don't care how difficult and time consuming it…

Hello to everyone in the Hyperspin community. I'm pretty new to everything, used to play some simple emulators but recently decided to give building an arcade system a try. Already went and tried a few front-ends but everything's led me to try Hyperspin.

'ello Hyperspin Forums! I'm BurritoBeans, another dude who's into gaming stuff and has an interest in arcades and arcade emulation. I like to collect video games a lot - you can find me on some other places like AtariAge - and while consoles and computers are cool, arcade stuff has always seemed like a ton of fun but I don't want to pay the money and find the space in my place to fit a variety of machines. So, one project that I have going on with other people in my family is to make a multi-arcade machine that we can just have everything on and play whenever. Yes I have some real hardware that - I've managed to get my hands on a Splatterhosue and Neo Geo MVS boards, …

Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'll be frequenting these forums more and more as I progress with my latest project. I'm building a machine based on the Weecade design albeit tweaked to my own prefs. I have all the materials, buttons, joysticks, plexiglass, MDF, paint and I'm currently at the painting stage of my panels before cab assembly later in the week. So far it's going well and whilst I'm waiting for each coat to dry I'm setting up my Hyperspin system. I've acquired a 20" HP 2065 monitor and a Core 2 Quad with a GT 710 graphics card since the onboard GMA on the Core 2 wasn't cutting it with Retroarch. The modest boost in performance also a…

This place is great! Just got to having a front-end for my emulators. I have tried several and non of them have the customization as HS. A little to understand at first, but worth it. The tutorials help. I hope HyperSpin is around for ages to come. Thanks for having me.
