delt31 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 No issues with any other emu but this one has command line prompt only so if I select the .exe for it to work, nothing happens. How do I install this emu (Model 3 - supermodel) to work with Hyperspin?
Monyet Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 You need to use Hyper HQ to install a new system, run a search here on the forums and you should find a tutorial but it's pretty straight forward using the HyperHQ wizard, I'm just not sure what you are officially supposed to call the system, could be "Sega Model 3" I think. After that you can go in rocketlauncherUI and it should appear on the left side, then just assign the exe to the emulator and the included module should be automatically used. I'm fairly sure there are a few threads already so you may want to go and run a search of the forums as there will be threads that will help far more than my half-assed post. Good luck!
gigapig Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Yes, if you've used HyperLaunch or RocketLauncher then you can set this just like any other. If you still have trouble please explain the software you are using, what you have done so far and post you logs.
delt31 Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Thanks guys - I've used HyperHQ for all the ones so I'm familiar with how it works. Here is the issue. If you pick the .exe for model 3 (supermodel), it's a command based only exe which means you need to open a cmd screen and actually type in commands for it to work. Therefore when I pick the exe nothing happens b/c hyper doesn't know what to do with it. For guys that have this working, if you wouldn't mind explaining how to get around this, it would be appreciated!
connorsdad Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Not sure why this isn't working for you as the module does all the work for you. Do you have the rom directory location setup correctly ? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
delt31 Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 I am using hyperlaunch but not the newest version. This one you can edit the script yourself. HyperHQ is the latest version. When you say it does everything for you, which app in particular and if it's the newest version, I might skip it as i rather not change everything else over as it works fine.
dougan78 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I think they are wanting to run this emu from hyperhq and I think supermodel requires hyperlaunch or rocketlauncher. Due to how the emulator works afaik.
gigapig Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 There is a SuperModel 3 module for HyperLaunch 2 included with the latest version of HS from the downloads section
pinsanity Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Configure the Supermodel roms directory first under Supermodel-UI/Tools/Options. Then set it up in Hyperspin using Hyperlaunch.
delt31 Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Configure the Supermodel roms directory first under Supermodel-UI/Tools/Options. Then set it up in Hyperspin using Hyperlaunch. When you say configure the roms directory - I'm currently using supermodel UI and have set the roms directory to the folder on my PC with the roms. Is that what you mean? If so, when I setup model 3 in HyperHQ (by pointing to the suprmodelUI.exe or the supermodel.exe) the screens blinks when i select it in hyperspin but no game is opened.... Any thoughts?
gigapig Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 If your just using Hyperspin to launch would you need to add the cmd line string to the parameters box in HyperHQ?
delt31 Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 maybe although I wonder what that would need to be. I first have to open a cmd screen and point it to the right supermodel directory. Then I type in the following: supermodel oceanht.zip -res=1920,1080 or something like that. Question is where would I put that? right after the .exe in that parameters line in Hyper HQ?
