A serious (and free) way to get videos snaps!

Hello guys,

 

Our Italian friends from arcadeitalia.net have just launched a new project: progetto-SNAPS!

Start a new major project within the resources available on my website about the MAME.
With this new category I will try to fill a void: the video snaps!
The project will then be extended to the MESS (NES, GameBoy, Intellivision, PlayStation, etc.).
The job is being daily processing, so already with the output of the MAME 0.163 we will have many mp4 to add.

 

Thousands of videos are already available through their official website or the official MEGA account.

 

Don't hesitate to join the project, videos are available for free and the community is really active!

I just uploaded my first input file there today. The scripting still needs a bit of work, but they can easily regenerate the videos again when the script is updated since it uses the input files as source.

They're not asking for monetary support; all their work is and will be available for free. They're asking for people to help them by playing the games they love, and recording the input, so they can use those file to generate more videos for everyone to enjoy.

very interesting and great alternative.  I will keep close tabs on their work and would love them to deliver great content for whatever frontend people choose.  So many great things on the horizon with RetroFE and sites such as these.  I just hope that Hyperspin and Emumovies can embrace such great products and spur them to develop great features to keep this scene fresh for whatever FE/media source you choose.

I went to play Defender last night and I couldn't get past the boot up sequence in the beginning. It asked me to advance something something to start the game, but I had no luck.

So it looks like we download his program. manually record as we play following his guidelines. Then email the files to him?

That wore me out just thinking about it.

Try deleting the cfg file for Defender.
