gigapig Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I managed to catch it in the summer while in the USA and enjoyed it and found it quite funny in places. I love Peter Dinklage but in this his parody of Billy Mitchell is pretty lame. May even buy the Blu-Ray if the extras are good, otherwise it'll be a download.
Styphelus Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Billy Michell himself is lame. I can't stand that guy!
SkyHighGam3r Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Given the premise, and the actors (Kevin Smith and Adam Sandler in particular), I decided not to bother.Plus, I don't care to support anything that would no doubt perpetuate the tired stereotype that gamers aren't good at basically anything but playing games.I try very hard to kill that notion whenever possible. For instance, when someone tells me they don't play games, I ask them "Do you also not watch movies, or listen to music? I'm guessing you don't read either..."
damageinc86 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 It was so textbook as far as plot "twists" and predictable moments. I only liked it because of the fact it brought the games to life in a way. I would have much rather had it be less "cheesy", but then again, how do you do that? It's totally hollywood, and happy madison productions is a joke, but it's definitely not the worst movie i've seen.
