Ok guys so here is a few things. First off I bought a hyperspin setup from a Friend ( he owed me money and this was a trade off) it has basically every rom I could ever ask for on it. Now i have a arcade cab that I built to use with the original xbox and that was going great but wanted more so i took the hyperspin setup and put it into the arcade. The problems I am having is i know nothing about hyperspin  but would like to make my arcade controls work fo systems that it makes sense to that is but I also have 2 wired 360 controls and will have 2 new kade to run the retro pads. Is there a way to make all of the work for everything simultaneously or am I out of luck. I can not seem to even get the keyboard to work for Nintendo games since i plugged in the 360 remote.I would ask the friend but he know less than me he bought from someone else. I hope this makes sense, If not please ask anything and I will answer as best I can.

Oh boy. All I can say is "do a lot of reading". There are no easy fixes for HS. And there are several ways you can handle controls. Nobody here knows what the original installer did/used... and by the sounds of it neither do you.

My honest advice would be to keep the roms and media but start fresh with a new install of HS/RL and actually learn what is doing what.

yep your better learning how things work ,it will make it easier in the long run when you encounter another problem, if its controls id probably star with sega emulator kegafusion it doesn't get anymore easier than that to configure

also if you have pads plugged in , it maybe overriding the keyboard ,so they may be some setting in the emulator to change

i'd suggest getting the emulators working with the controls outside of HS first.... mess with the emulators then once you have them rocking you can figure out the
HS side of things.

Oh man... an HS setup twice removed? Spawk is right.

You will spend far more hours trying to reverse engineer that Hyperspin setup than you would simply starting from scratch. Plus if you start from scratch you will know how it works and how to build on it. Like Spawk said, keep all the roms and media, but follow the tutorials and do a fresh install for the rest.

Good luck man!

I second (or third, or fourth, or 100th) this. I think using any prebuilt drives, or prebuilt installs is just a bad idea. Not to say there are not some VERY nice prebuilt installs even here on this site, but the problem is you don't learn anything this way.

Definitely best to do lots of research, then follow some tutorials (see link in my sig for instance) and learn as you go. Doing it this way means down the road when you need to fix things or do things your own, you will have more knowledge on how to do it.

HyperSpin is one tricky beast.
