I need some help configuring my wired Xbox 360 controller to work in hyperspin. ive used help videos and forums to tackle most of my issues but I haven't been able to resolve this one in particular. My controller works fine when in rocketlauncher but doesn't do much of anything in hyperspin. Any help or direction will be much appreciated. I'm using hyperspin 1.4 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer. At this point I don't know if I have a configuration issue or a Windows issue. Advice?

Well first off you need to ensure you have the correct 360 driver installed and in use...

Once done, unplug any USB devices you have on your PC other than the controller and reboot.  DO NOT PLUG THEM BACK IN YET.

Then go to HyperHQ and setup your controller... exit out.

I will try that...thank you. I updated my drivers yesterday but I did not reboot or unplug my game controller, mouse or keyboard. Hopefully this works

Ok. Tried updating / trying all the drivers on the list, rebooting and unplugging all usb devices. No luck...still can't control anything within hyperspin. I did get the wheel to move once then it just started spinning really fast. Wierd the "A" button will interrupt the hyperspin intro and go right to the wheel, but I'm unable to navigate at all in hyperspin. Any other thoughts?

Sounds like the HyperSpin/HyperHQ bug if you enable joysticks/controllers. Do you have controllers enabled in HyperHQ? If so, you'll want to disable that option and use the StartupScript available in downloads or use JoyToKey/Xpadder to map your buttons to the keyboard keys that HyperSpin uses.

I was having the same problem with the fast spinning wheel and un responsive buttons. I installed the startup script and it works perfectly now.

You were right austin.  So to OP, turn off the joystick control in hyperhq, it's buggy.  Either do the startupscript referenced above, or get a joystick mapping program like Pinnacle Game Profiler, Antimicro, or xpadder.  When you make a profile within one of those programs under an autodetect setting, you can point it to detect when hyperspin.exe has ran, and it will activate.  Your profile will convert your button presses to whatever keys you specify.  I personally use Pinnacle, it was only like 10 bucks, and it works great for more than just a hyperspin navigation profile.
