CarloCGC Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Microsoft Security Essentials is warning me that file:F:\Hyperspin\HyperBrite.exe has a Trojan in it. Anyone else seen this? I have had Hyperspin setup for 6 months and not noticed this before. The file is: Trojan:Win32/Dynamer!ac
Styphelus Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Yeap. Noticed that too, not that I ever used hyperbrite.
badboo Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Happened once to me when I was setting up it on a friend's new computer. I installed the same antivirus I use and it detected the .exe of HS as malware or something. On my computer, nothing like that has shown up. Anyway, why don't you make an exclusion of that file in your antivirus.
Metalzoic Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Yeah. It just started doing it a couple weeks ago with the Hyperbrite.exe file. Even after exluding it it still flagged it again this week. Weird. Must have changed with the recent Windows update.
trebukenz Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I've gotten that with more than one virus scanner. Seems to be a false positive...or at least I hope so...
rastan Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 anti virus software is a waste...... half of em sound off false alarms so I doubt any of them are 100% at stopping real threats. I don't even have anti-virus software on my dedicated hyperspin machine.. i download and scan everything on another machine and copy it over.
