first off, WOW dam, that's nice.

Secondly I had some hardware questions. what are you using in the EMS topgun, was that a mod of your own or, was it a kit purchased?

Like the hidden driving game set up under 1:34. what was the hardware use?

and just in general what was the system specs on that bad boy?

Any build pics?

Again nice cab.

I've always liked that cab. The ultra stik mod is fully sick.

I'm at the point of finding money to test turning an Ultimarc Aimtrak into a Bluetooth device. The modules and all the parts will make the gun very damn expensive and I need to have a yak with a couple of boards about the idea. The problem with cordless is that the transfer of data changes from what it was wired. The cordless guns available have crappy sensors compared to the Aimtrak. If anyone is interested I will post the components I am considering for use with it.

Yeah I'd be interested on figuring how he made the guns wireless as well.

I should be buying some Aimtraks later this year for my setup so I could definitely make use of that info.

The idea of attaching the steering wheel to the cp is also pretty nice will consider that myself too.

polemicist, create a new thread so users can subscribe to it and keep track of your progress. Maybe PM the owner of that cab to chime in after you do.

Yeah will do. :) I am still tossing up on what to do for the controllers. Wanted the MagStik for a simple controller but the UltraStik 360 even with its "cheaper feeling build" as many describe seems to kick arse. And the fact that this cab is using the RGB and top push button mod makes it even more awesome. Will seriously consider that but later. ;)

Love the cordless steering wheel and flight stick. Simple trick but works.

EMS Topgun III's are wireless straight outa the box

My problem is the accuracy with those things. The Aimtrak sensors are kick arse and still considered by all MAME builders as the best. I guess it comes down to how much you want to sink into your cab. Those RGB LED buttons etc make the cost of the control panel pretty much 1/2 again more expensive. But damn I love them. I went hunting for the RGB push tops but still haven't found them. :(

Thank you, sir! The wheels are basically just gutted logitech nascar wheels with wireless mice PCB's secured just above the rotating plastic column inside. $30 for the wheel and $12 for the mouse! A much cheaper alternative to a TurboTwist+Steering wheel kit. As for the guns, they are EMS Topgun III PCB's (which are already wireless) inside EMS Topgun II shells with 4 AAA batteries instead of AA's so it would be able to fit. Yeah, that one was a little more expensive BUT THEY LOOK GREAT. lol.

Ah so the guns are top guns. Oh well, I knew it was too good to be true.

The cab might look really nice but could functionally be a headache to use or setup.
