[Fixed]HyperHQ "roms only" Option

If you want to be able to use the HyperHQ "roms only" function successfully without being booted back to the HyperSpin main menu or crashing HyperSpin follow these instructions:

Open HyperHQ > Wheel Settings > [console name] > Emulator;

Execution:	HyperLaunch
PC Game:	Disabled
Executable:	[leave this field blank]
Rom Path:	[your rom path]
Extensions:	7z,zip,cdi

Fill the rom path option then set the extensions of the roms or isos HyperSpin should be checking for by listing them, comma separated, in the extensions field just like in the above sample. Set everything else however you need. Next, go to

HyperHQ > Wheel Settings > [console name] > Navigation/Themes;

Wheel Filters:	Roms Only

Other users were getting a crash or boot back to the main menu because the extensions were not set. HyperSpin was not knowing what to look for. The error is not related to searching subfolders nor to the rom path set by HyperLaunch. You can fix this entirely within HyperHQ.

You can also bypass HyperHQ by editing the ini files for each system within HyperSpin\Settings\[system].ini;

Hi all,

Sorry to revive an old thread but i am having a similar issue with sega saturn.

All my images are unzipped and in there own folders. They are all .bin & .cue.

Everything works fine in HLHQ.

However when i try to go into the saturn emulator in HS it immediately crashes out with this:

I have tried to do what lahonda_99 has mention in the thread but i get the exact same error.

Any ideas for me?

OK my games now display.

For anyone else having same issue open HyperHQ -> Wheel Settings -> Sega Saturn -> Navigation\Themes -> Wheel filters = uncheck all.

Thanks for the fix.  It's too bad HyperHQ only supports a single ROM path. I have some of the larger systems split up among different drives.

I know this is going to be repeating this thread but I have also been getting the same problem. I have HyperHQ set with the extentions but the ROMs ONLY doesn't work.. the Wheels ONLY does work, but ROMs ONLY just takes me back to the main menu.

 

RocketLauncher is firing the game fine..... Hyperspin fires the game up only when ROMs ONLY is turned off.

You need to put the extensions in the Extensions filed, not the Params field! :-)
