Complete Guide for Commodore CD32 in HyperSpin and RL using WinUAE only

I know it doesn't matter Ron but this is the CD32 thread, 1000cc Turbo is not a game I have for CD32.

Cd32 hosts is attached and here's my log and the display settings I use.

It's kind bad looking down the list of CD32 games and seeing the file size of some, I know they had to fill out the library and it was the early days of CD based games.

Thanks for your guides Ron.

I got whdload working quickly but I am having trouble with cd32.

If i extract the 7zip and mount the .cue then run the game in winuae it works.

If i try to run the game from HLHQ i get this error message.

Firstly you need to be daring and handsome.

Then you need to fire up Winuae and load up your config.

On the left select filter.

Then look to the far right, it probably says "No Scaling", change it to "Automatic scaling" and save your config.

All done.

Thanks for the guide Ron, worked a treat! And thanks for the scaling tip Giga, looks much better now :)

If anyone else is like me and doesn't want to use an actual mouse, I spent ages trying to map my analogue sticks to my CD32mousehost config and couldn't get anything to work as well as just playing the game with a CD32 pad. So, I just made my cd32mousehost config a replica of my cd32host config and ran with that. Although for some reason on the mouse config i needed to "swap ports" so that the same controller is player 1 for both config profiles.

Just thought I'd save anyone else the time trying to map anolgue sticks to a CD32 mouse; and if anyone does have a better way, by keeping both configs, you can always swap to that method anytime :)

Please reference the above guide for the emulator setup.

Open that guide and search for "Running WinUAE for the first time:".

Load your cd32host.uae and follow steps 2 (Select Paths on the top left.) and step 3 (Click the Rescan ROMs).

If you have all the needed OS and Kickstart roms, you should show "CD32: available".

Yes, this is normal. The configuration file is not loaded by just running the emulator. Hyperlaunch will load the configuration for you.

Try the above and if it still doesn't work, please post your HyperLaunch log with your logging level set to Troubleshooting.

As always, be sure the log is wrapped in code tags. :D

I have got the amiga kickstart roms but inside have many sub folders with name ActionReplay , KS-Disk, KS- Roms, Modified, OrigGrabs,Rekick

Do I copy all folders to Kickstart folder in WinUAE?

They should go in what ever you have set for your System ROMs directory in WinUAE.

attachment.php?attachmentid=50996&stc=1

In my setup I created a folder called roms in my WinUAE emulator directory.

Put them all in there and rescan to see if they show.

I put the contents of all the folders into one folder and then put them in the "Amiga Files" folder but I believe you only need the KS-Roms folder
